According to the Beijing Daily WeChat public account, the reporter combed and found that from March 1, 2022 to March 16, 2022, 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported more than 20,000 cases of local infection. Among them, from March 12 to March 16, more than 2,000 new cases of indigenous infections have been added in a single day for 5 consecutive days.

From 0:00 to 24:00 on March 16, Beijing added 4 new locally confirmed cases, no new suspected cases and asymptomatic infected people, and 8 new imported confirmed cases and 1 asymptomatic infected person, with no new suspected cases. 5 cases were cured and discharged from hospital.
