In terms of SUV market sales, retail sales in the domestic SUV market in January-February 2022 were 1.562 million units, down 0.8% from 1.575 million units in the same period last year. From the data point of view, as the top three SUV sales last year, Haval H6, Changan CS75 and Geely Boyue, the first two months of this year's sales decline is relatively large. Among them, the haval H6 has accumulated sales of 52,108 vehicles, which is still the champion in SUV sales, but sales have decreased by 32.2% year-on-year.
Changan CS75 retreated to the third place, with cumulative sales of 44,419 vehicles in January-February this year, losing to BYD Song, with sales down 39.9% year-on-year. Geely Boyue fell out of the top 15 SUV sales list, with cumulative retail sales of only 21,030 vehicles in the first two months.
The BYD Song family performed well, with cumulative sales of 46,981 vehicles in January and February, ranking second, with sales up 119.1% year-on-year. The BYD Song family includes the sales of Song and Song PLUS, the main model is BYD Song PLUS DM-i, with cumulative sales of 35,466 vehicles in the first two months.
Honda CR-V continues to rank fourth, with cumulative sales of 39,875 units in January-February this year, down 9.6% year-on-year. As the "little brother" of CR-V, Binzhi and Honda XR-V were both on the list, of which Binzhi sold 29841 vehicles, ranking ninth, an increase of 38.8% year-on-year; Honda XR-V cumulative sales of 26222 vehicles, ranking thirteenth, down 6.0% year-on-year.
Tesla Model Y also performed very well, with cumulative sales of 34,951 units, ranking fifth with a slight advantage, an increase of 457.3% year-on-year. Of course, the Model Y has just begun to be delivered in the same period last year, the sales base is low, and the increase is not meaningful.
Changan CS55 ranked sixth, with cumulative retail sales of 34,864 units in the first two months of this year, an increase of 55.3% year-on-year. Since the launch of the new generation of Changan CS55, its sales have been outstanding, with sales exceeding 20,000 units in many months.
Among the traditional luxury SUVs, the best-selling one is the Mercedes-Benz GLC, with cumulative sales of 32,289 units, ranking seventh, an increase of 15.2% year-on-year.
Bmw X3 is slightly inferior, with cumulative sales of 28,361 vehicles in January-February this year, ranking tenth, an increase of 25.5% year-on-year. The Audi Q5L also made the list, ranking fifteenth with sales of 25,921 units, up 7.7 percent year-on-year.
Nissan Qashqai's cumulative sales of 30,229 vehicles ranked eighth, an increase of 19.1% year-on-year. As the "big brother", Nissan X-Trail did not make the list, and the lonely new generation of X-Trail sold only 5,012 vehicles.
Volkswagen brands Tuyue and Tiguan L are on the list, and sales are not much different. Among them, Tuyue sold 26,247 vehicles, ranking eleventh, an increase of 22.5% year-on-year; Tiguan L's cumulative sales of 26,083 vehicles, ranking fourteenth, down 22.9% year-on-year.
In the list of the top 15 SUV sales, only five models of independent brands are on the list, and the number of hot-selling models is not as good as that of joint venture brands.
