Recently, Mr. Xu, a Xiaopeng car owner in Beijing, broke the news that he spent 260,000 yuan to buy a new car, xiaopeng P7, and the brakes failed for no reason. "When the accident occurred, the APP connected to my mobile phone did not have any fault prompts or even auxiliary alarms, and the smart functions promised by the sales at that time all disappeared." According to Mr. Xu, the mother-in-law sitting in the back row of the car tried to hold the front seat due to instinctive reactions, resulting in a broken right wrist and a broken arm tendon, which has not yet healed.
It is understood that on the day of the incident, the driver of the vehicle was not Mr. Xu himself but his father-in-law. "My father-in-law is a driver for more than 20 years, and he usually slams on the brakes at the exit without stepping on the wrong one." According to Mr. Xu's father-in-law, he came out of the garage in the morning, the car flew out, and there was no response when he stepped on the brakes. Because the garage exit of the community is equipped with a barrier, the car first hit the barrier, then hit the fence of the community, and then the garage mirror light pole, until it hit a wall in the next building, and it could not move, so it stopped, and then two airbags popped out. Mr. Xu said that during the danger, his father-in-law kept stepping on the brakes without any reaction, "only to watch the car crash into the wall." ”
In fact, this is not the first time that the owner of the Xiaopeng P7 has defended his rights due to suspected "brake failure". In May last year, some netizens posted a photo of the owner of Xiaopeng P7 pulling a banner to defend his rights on the Internet, suspected that Xiaopeng car had a brake failure problem. From the picture, it can be seen that a gray Xiaopeng car is parked in front of the Xiaopeng 4S shop, and there is a banner on the car that reads "Brake failure is in danger of death" and "No one cares about a car problem", judging from the vehicle shape, the car involved is suspected to be Xiaopeng P7.
Coincidentally, just last month on the 14th, Dongguan car owners drove a Xiaopeng P7 in the process of driving on the road, the car suddenly accelerated inexplicably more than a hundred yards, stepping on the brakes did not respond, according to the owner of the feedback, fortunately there was no vehicle on the road at that time, otherwise it was uncertain what accidents would occur, think about it and be afraid.
In addition to the Xiaopeng P7, the Xiaopeng G3 has also been exposed as a suspected "brake failure". A wuhan car owner once complained on a platform that the Xiaopeng G3 he bought in November 2019 had a brake failure and an anti-collision system failure on January 28, 2020, resulting in a collision with the glass curtain wall in front of the car, damage to the right side of the front, and two airbags in front of it.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to Xiaopeng Motors, Weilai Automobile, which is a new car-making force, also has relevant reports of suspected "brake failure". On March 1 this year, the owner of the NIO ES6 complained on a third-party car quality evaluation platform that the brakes failed due to the hardening of the WEILAI ES6 brakes, and it hit the wall vertically in the underground garage.
In July last year, Jiaxing Tongxiang suspected that a Weilai ES6 brake failure had rear-ended, knocking the rear of the front car out of a large pit. In May of the same year, a NIO ES8 detonated the network after crashing a golden guardrail out of four lanes on Chang'an Avenue, and there were no obvious brake marks in the scene photos.
In February of the same year, Mr. Yu, the owner of the Hangzhou Weilai ES6, also suffered a "brake failure" accident. "At that time, the brakes failed when turning in the underground garage near the company, resulting in the inability to slow down and hit the wall. After the collision, the left side of the front of the car was seriously damaged, and the airbag did not pop out.
