1. Change into a station gear.

2. Press and hold the two scroll buttons on the steering wheel until the touchscreen turns black.

3. After a few seconds, the Tesla logo appears. Wait about 30 seconds for the touchscreen to restart. After a few minutes, if the touchscreen is still unresponsive or behaves abnormally, try cycling to turn on or off the vehicle.

3. Hang up the neutral gear

After flicking the shift lever up or down to the first gear, hold it for more than 1 second to switch to neutral gear. After hanging the neutral gear, without stepping on the brake pedal, the Model 3 can glide freely.

Note: If the travel speed is below about 8 km/h, the brake pedal must be pressed to switch to a gear other than neutral.

4. Open the car door when there is no power

To open the front door when the Model 3 is not powered on, pull up the manual door release located in front of the window switch.

Note: Only the front door is equipped with a manual door release.

5. Adjust the opening height of the electric trunk lid

The height of the opening of the electric trunk lid (if equipped) can be adjusted for easy service handling and also to avoid touching low roofs or items (e.g. garage doors or lights):

1. Open the trunk lid and manually lower or raise it to the desired opening height.

2. Press and hold the button under the trunk lid for three seconds until you hear a confirmation beep.

3. Confirm that it is set to the desired height by closing the electric trunk lid and reopening it.

6. Emergency opening of the luggage inside

When the Model 3 is out of power, the trunk can also be opened from the inside using a mechanical unlock device that lights up on the inside of the trunk. This mechanical unlocking device also allows the person locked inside to come out.

1. Press and hold the illuminated button in the direction of the arrow to release the latch.

2. Open the trunk.

7. Internal emergency opening of the front load compartment

An open button lit on the inside of the front trunk allows the person locked inside to come out.

Press the inside button to open the front compartment and lift the front compartment lid upwards.

8. Open the front trunk cover without power

When the Model 3 doesn't have a 12V power supply, which rarely happens, you won't be able to open the front load compartment from the touchscreen, remote key, or mobile app. Open the front load compartment in this scenario:

NOTE: If the Model 3 is locked and has a 12V power supply, the following operations will not open the front load compartment.

1. Locate an external 12V power supply (such as a portable emergency power supply).

2. Release the traction hole cover by holding down the upper right edge of the cover until it turns inward, then slowly pulling toward you on the elevated portion.

NOTE: The traction hole cover is connected to the black negative (-) binding post of the vehicle.

3. Pull two wires out of the towing hole opening, revealing two binding posts.

4. Connect the red positive (+) cable from the 12V power supply to the red positive (+) end.

5. Connect the black negative (-) cable from the 12V power supply to the black negative (-) end.

NOTE: An external 12V power supply is plugged in to these terminal posts and only the front load compartment cover can be released. Must not be used to charge a 12V battery.

6. Start the external power supply (please refer to the manufacturer's manual). The front trunk lid lock is released immediately and you can now open the front load compartment cover to enter the front load compartment area.

7. When disconnecting both ends of the cable, disconnect the black negative (-) cable first.

8. If you are moving the vehicle to a flatbed truck, do not replace the tow hole cover at this time. If necessary, when replacing the traction hole cover, insert the wire into the traction hole opening and align the traction hole cover into place, then turn it into place.

9. The airbag in front of the passenger seat is turned on and off

When a child is in the front passenger seat (even if using a child safety seat or a booster seat), the airbag in front of the passenger seat must be disabled to prevent the airbag from injuring the child in the event of a collision.

To disable the front airbag in the passenger seat, click the front airbag in the co-pilot seat by clicking the control > Safety & Security >

The status of the airbag in front of the passenger seat is displayed at the top of the touchscreen. You can also click this status icon to disable and enable the airbag in front of the passenger seat:

10. The driver sets the convenient entry and exit mode

You can define convenient access settings that will move the steering wheel and driver's seat, making it easy to get in and out of the Model 3. Any driver can use this setting after associating the Convenience In and Out setting with their driver setting. When the Convenient Access setting is associated with the driver setting, when the station gear is attached and the driver's seat belt is unassisted, the steering wheel and driver's seat seat are automatically adjusted to facilitate getting out of the car. Back in the car, after pressing the brake pedal, the settings will automatically change back to the settings used by the latest driver setting (if the car key is linked to the driver setting, press key operation).

If you need to use convenient access through the driver settings, be sure to check the Use convenient access check box.

11. The rearview mirror tilts automatically when reversing

When the Model 3 is in reverse gear, the two exterior mirrors automatically tilt downwards. When switching into any other gear, the mirrors return to their normal (up) position.

To turn this feature on or off, tap Control > Quick Control > mirror > mirrors tilt automatically.

12. Control the high beam headlights

Turn the turn signal lever outward and release it to continuously light the high beam headlights. To cancel, you can flick the joystick outward again.

To flash the high beam headlights briefly, release them after flicking the joystick inward.

When light is detected in front of the Model 3 (for example, an oncoming car from the opposite side), the high beam automatically switches to the low beam. To turn this feature on or off, go to Quick Controls or tap Control > Lights> Auto High Beam.

13. Adjust the following distance

To adjust the following distance you want the Model 3 to maintain from the vehicle in front, press the right wheel button of the steering wheel to the left or right and select a setting from Settings 1 (Minimum Follow distance) to 7 (Maximum Follow Distance). Each setting corresponds to a time-based distance, where the time-based distance represents the distance required for the Model 3 to get from its current location to the front and rear bumper positions.

As the following distance is adjusted, the touchscreen will display the current settings.

14. Get out of trouble mode

Under normal circumstances, you should not enable the start of getting out of trouble. This can only be enabled if you subjectively want the wheels to spin idly, for example:

Start from loose surfaces, such as gravel or snow.

The vehicle is driven in deep snow, sand or mud.

When climbing out of a pothole or deep ditch.

To leave the wheels idle, tap control > driving > traction control > get out of trouble.

Go to the Control > Safety & Protection > honking to save the movie> turned on and activated.

In case of emergency, honking, at this time the last ten minutes of video footage will be saved. You can also click the dashcam icon at the top of the touchscreen to save a dashcam video clip.

Make sure any non-Tesla repair shop is aware of these lifting points.

Place the lift arm pad below the specified body lift point as shown in the figure.

Caution: Never place the lift arm liner under the battery or side rail (shown in red).

If the windows work abnormally (touching the bright bars, not opening or closing correctly, slowing the window when the doors are opened), the problem can be solved by window calibration.

Calibrate the windows:

Close the doors of the affected windows.

Sit in the driver's seat and close the driver's door.

Use the window switch on the driver's door to raise the affected window until it is completely stopped.

Use the window switch on the driver's door to lower the affected window until it is completely stopped.

Repeat step 3 and raise the affected window until it is completely stopped.
