The AMG version of the latest-generation Mercedes C-Class has been captured by camera many times, but until now most of the camouflage has been removed, this Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG model test car only covers the bumper and trunk lid, the camouflage is so thin that almost all design details can be seen, which indicates that the official premiere will be released soon!

It can be seen that the test car adopts a more sporty shape, and the prototype test car is judged to be an AMG version by means of a stiffer suspension setting and a reduced driving height. Thankfully, all four exhausts at the rear are emitting white smoke, so this information is still relatively reliable, and the heavy brake discs and small ducktail trunk lid spoiler also hint that the car belongs to the AMG series.

Although the AMG C63 will not use the V8 engine, the more entry-level C-class AMG model will not be cut out of 4 cylinders like the V8, but will eliminate 2 cylinders and use the strongest four-cylinder engine. It's unclear how it will be named, as whether it will retain the C43 designation or will be called the C53 will depend on mercedes-benz officials. One thing is for sure is that the entry-level AMG product will use a four-cylinder engine, just like all other W206 generation models.

Although the twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 will be obsolete, we don't expect the four-cylinder engine to be less powerful. After all, the 2.0-liter M139 on the Mercedes-Benz A45 S AMG is already much more powerful than the outgoing C43, and we may see this four-cylinder engine with hybrid drive form in the future. The entry-level Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG model is likely to launch ahead of the flagship C63, so we expect Mercedes to launch the C43/C53 in the coming months and even weeks.
