The Qashqai is Nissan's premier SUV product in the European market and has a sportier body than X-Trail. In early 2021, Qashqai ushered in the third generation of major revamped models developed on the new CMF platform and is fully powered by electrification. These include a 1.3-litre DiG-T turbo petrol engine with 12V light oil technology and the upcoming 1.5-litre e-Power system this summer.

Like Nissan's e-Power and EV, Qashqai e-Power offers the e-Pedal's integrated throttle brake system. The system uses technology that integrates the throttle and brake functions to a single pedal, and the braking effect can be achieved by retracting the throttle when the system is opened, and has a maximum deceleration force of 0.2G and the function of braking to stationary. According to the original manufacturer, the e-Pedal replaces 90% of conventional brake usage. At the same time, after opening the e-Pedal, in addition to enhancing kinetic energy recovery, it can also greatly reduce the physical consumption of the braking system.
The Qashqai e-Power, like other e-Power models, features 3 driving modes: Standard, Sport and Eco Mode. In standard mode, the vehicle's kinetic energy recovery system will operate with engine brakes close to traditional engines; in sport mode, it will increase the engine running time to provide faster acceleration response; and energy-saving mode will provide the vehicle with a longer taxiing distance, allowing the vehicle to reduce engine operation during high-speed cruising. 3 Driving modes can be combined with "B mode", that is, the enhanced kinetic energy recovery system is activated, and has a stronger deceleration force when the throttle is retracted.
