Recently, the online car market learned from relevant sources that Honda hopes to raise $2.75 billion by issuing green bonds denominated in US dollars to accelerate the process of brand electrification, and Honda will allocate this funds to research and development of electric vehicles, solar energy technology, wind energy technology and used car recycling projects. It is reported that Honda will issue $1 billion worth of 3-year notes, $1 billion worth of 5-year notes and $750 million worth of 10-year notes, and the yield of the bonds is expected to exceed 1.12% of the US Treasury bonds.

According to Honda's new strategic plan previously released, by 2030, Honda's electrified models in North America will account for 40% of the total sales of all models of the brand, by 2035, the sales of electrified models will account for 80%, and by 2040, Honda will only sell pure electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles to achieve 100% electrification. It is reported that Honda is also currently developing two electric SUVs using GM Ultium batteries, one of which is Honda's first pure electric model Prologue, while the other belongs to Honda's high-end brand Acura.
