On May 27, according to the "Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily", supply chain sources revealed that vivo's latest S19 series mobile phone will use a new generation of silicon carbon anode battery, which has an energy density of about 20% higher than that of traditional graphite anode batteries and about 16% higher than extreme graphite anode batteries. This new technology will be supplied by CATL.

The energy density of traditional graphite anode batteries is about 372mAh/g, while the theoretical energy density of pure silicon anode materials can reach 4200mAh/g, which is 10 times that of graphite anode. However, the silicon anode expands during charging and discharging, and the reaction volume expansion rate of silicon and lithium is as high as 300%. Carbon wrapping is one of the effective ways to solve the expansion of silicon anode, so there is the birth of silicon carbon anode battery.

According to vivo's official news, vivoS19/Pro will be officially released at 19:00 on May 30, and will be the industry's first mobile phone equipped with a 50 million pixel Sony IMX921 outsole and telephoto portrait camera. The series will be available in a variety of colorways, including Smoke and Rain Blue, Pine Smoke Ink, Peach Blossom Fan, Thousand Mountains and Gray.
