On the narrow road around the community, parking spaces are hard to find. It was difficult to find an empty seat, but when reversing, it tossed back and forth, and it was always impossible to park in the middle of the car.
The reason for this situation is mainly because the timing of the last round is not well grasped. Even if you barely toss in, either the left side of the car body protrudes out of the parking space, or the right rear wheel squeezes into the roadside stone.
Many novice drivers can't find the reason, and over time, parking in the opposite direction is prohibitive. Is it really that hard? Instructor Shi led the novice driver to practice side orientation parking, and it only takes 10 minutes for the trainees to master the principle.
The last step is to hit the wheel timing, the general car is the left rear wheel just hitched to the left line of the parking space, as shown in the following figure. Here, when the steering wheel is full to the left, the rear of the car will rotate to the left, the radius of the tire rotation is about 20-30 cm, and the body is located in the center of the car.
But this left rear wheel is wired, and many people are not sure. For example, some people see through the rearview mirror is an illusion. You see the tire wiring, in fact, the tire is still some distance from the sideline, the reason for the error is that you did not tilt your head to look. All you see is the tire blocking the sideline.
At this time, the wheel is played early, and after the car is straight, the body will go out of the library edge, and it is easy to be scratched by passing vehicles.
Some people are worried about playing the wheel early, will wait until the wheel is really pressed on the edge of the parking space and then hit the wheel, which is late to hit the wheel, the consequence is that the right rear wheel is squeezed on the roadside stone, easy to scratch the tire.
To see this point accurately, the first is to lower the left rearview mirror, and the second is to tilt your head to see, so that you can clearly see that the outer edge of the tire is just wired. If you are troublesome, you can adjust the mirror back to the normal height on the basis of finding the correct point, and then visually measure the relationship between the door handle and the library edge as a reference point. If this point is remembered correctly, the steering wheel is full to the left, and it will fall into the center of the car without error.
The principle of this point is that the landing point of the rear wheel is the center point, and the rotation radius of the rear wheel is controlled, and the wheel timing is exactly the ideal distance of 20-30 cm from the edge.
Of course, this is the wheeling timing of most cars, and if your car is an SUV, the wheel circumference is significantly larger than the circumference of the sedan. The radius of rotation will increase, and according to the point of the car, it is the performance of the late wheel. With that in mind, you can play the round a little earlier. For example, the rear wheel is about a punch or so away from the edge of the library, and it is full to the left, so that the car is just parked in the middle of the car.
Different models will be slightly different, you can combine my method, field test a few times, to find the best point for you.
Finally, it should be emphasized that the rotation trajectory of the wheel is also affected by the tilt angle of the wheel. If the error of the first two points is small, it is basically negligible.
