Hefei, February 21 (Liu Hao) "Wang Still Jellyfish Series Annual Exhibition" was launched on the 20th at the Dadi Art Museum in Jindadi East and West Street, Hefei City, Anhui Province, and the fantastic marine atmosphere created by sound, light, electricity, painting and other arts attracted many citizens and tourists to immerse themselves in the viewing experience.

Born in 1995, Wang is based in Shanghai, graduated from Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree, studied in the Directing Department of the University of Southern California, and has participated in many art exhibitions at home and abroad.

Talking about the theme of this exhibition, Wang still said that the ocean water world accounts for about 72% of the earth's surface area and is a jellyfish territory. From the South Pole to the Arctic, from the surface of the ocean to the deep sea, traces of jellyfish can be found everywhere. The exhibition is titled "(pronounced màn), which means "big water" as the name suggests.

Jellyfish symbolizes many good qualities, it floats in the sea, moves with the help of waves and currents, but never feels humble, but swims happily in the ocean, and its love for the ocean and life exceeds that of many human beings.

At the exhibition site, the fantastic deep blue lighting, rolling waves, sea breeze and other on-site atmosphere make people feel like they are in the depths of the ocean.

According to reports, this jellyfish series exhibition, the use of a lot of installations to match the atmosphere of the scene, the exhibition hall on the first floor hangs jellyfish series of oil paintings; the negative layer of the exhibition hall is an immersive experience space, the original white weaving lighting is adjusted to blue light. In addition, the video image playback is accompanied by a separate area, and the jellyfish shape is suspended using ocean wave eugen yarn, irregular pressed pleated laser gradient fabric, lace pleated fabric and iron wire, which contrasts with the reflective multi-faceted real jellyfish device, allowing the viewer to experience "dream and mystery".

"From Wang's jellyfish works, I thought that although there are changes in generations, hope will never die, it is biology, but also philosophy." Li Siyang, curator of the exhibition, said that when an organism dies, microbes begin to break down cells, releasing molecules for use by other organisms to make up the carbon, nitrogen and other nutrients of our body. It has been used by many creatures before us, and will be used again by many other creatures after us, and this is the cycle of life, at least for most creatures.

Zhou Juhong, the producer of this exhibition and the general manager of the Jindadi East-West Street Project, said that in the past decade, Jindadi East-West Street has grown from one person to thousands of people, and countless people who love aesthetic life have gathered here to form a unique literary and artistic temperament in new first-tier cities. "It has become the most iconic cultural, fashion and lifestyle landmark in New Hefei." This exhibition is also an important exploration of the "new atmosphere" of Hefei urban youth literature and art in the cultural and art section of Jindadi East and West Street in 2022.

The exhibition is hosted by the Land Art Center and will run until March 20, 2022. (End)
