According to the author Chen Ying, this series of works is her tribute to classic works such as "The Girl with pearl earrings", "Scream", "Dürer Self-Portrait", "Self-Portrait After Cutting The Ear", "Mona Lisa". As a young artist after the 90s, Chen Ying said: "Classic works are an example for us to learn from, and at the same time, they are also our shackles. The ridicule of classic works is my interpretation and liberation of classic works from a personal point of view. And the green dinosaur in the painting, she laughs and says, "This is my self-portrait." Chen Ying explained: "Although I don't have a pointed chin and large European-style double eyelids, my heart is funny and naughty. And the mischievous humor revealed in her works is the true portrayal of her heart. She introduced to reporters: "The black eyeballs in the painting represent me with male rational thinking, and the red eyeballs represent me with female perceptual thinking." And every dinosaur has love in its pupils because I want to express: no matter what situation you encounter in life, you must live with love. ”

It is understood that the artists participating in this exhibition are all post-80s and 90s. "The artist's creation also presents the state of mind and state of mind of the current young artists." Curator Gao Songyin said, "Chen Ying has obtained a witty tribute in the replacement of Western classics and contemporary art thinking, Gong Jiandong has shown a delicate, sensitive and complex spiritual world with collage and discrete methods, Liang Bing has shown his contemplation of the real world in the flowing water, clouds and air, Liu Yi has shown the indifference, panic, confrontation and naughtiness of women in the face of reality, Liu Zhengxin reflects on tradition and another kind of poetry and distance between the remnants of the mountains and waters piled up in ashes. Wang Haoyong uses red tones to reminisce about a clear and non-defined past, Ye Yitong uses prints to show a kind of cross-field, interdisciplinary conceptual thinking, Zhang Lin shows a unique emotional tension in the rhythm of passionate colors, and Zhang Yufei shows a sharp burning pain implied between people. ”

The 9 young artists are either students of Teacher Fang Lijun or taught by Teacher Fang Lijun. They benefit from the cultural accumulation of the previous generation, but also try to gain a place in the advancement of technology and the exploration of ancient and modern art, striving to express their emotional state and way of thinking in their works, and looking for the combination of emotion, reality and image.
