On February 15th, during the Lantern Festival, the Zhuhai Youth Symphony Orchestra/Choir 2022 Chinese New Year Concert was played in the Zhuhai Television Studio Hall, opening with the classic song "Spring Festival Overture", which was performed by zhuhai and Macao youths to express the joyful mood of the citizens of the two places to celebrate the New Year.
Since Zhuhai and Macao have the same culture, close relationship and similar folk customs, how to enhance the centripetal force of Macao youth culture and continuously promote the deep integration of Zhuhai and Macao has always been a problem that the Zhuhai Communist Youth League has repeatedly pondered. In March 2021, relying on the Municipal Youth Women and Children's Activity Center, the Zhuhai Municipal Committee of the Youth League initiated the establishment of two public welfare institutions ( hereinafter referred to as the "Two Regiments " ) , the Municipal Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Art Troupe. At the beginning of its establishment, the "two groups" were marked with a distinct "Zhuhai-Macao Twin Cities" label, and also undertook the special mission of "cultural connection", which not only attracted young students from Macao to join, but also many "big names" such as Li Na, principal violinist of the Macao Orchestra, li jun, viola player, and Lu Jia, chief of the cello voice department, were also invited to serve as art consultants.
Zhuhai Leshi Cultural Zone is a popular punching point for young people in Zhuhai and Macao, and in November 2021, the Zhuhai-Macao Youth Cultural Exchange Concert was held here, and the teenagers of the two places jointly performed classic songs such as "Ode to the Red Flag" and "Light Cavalry" Overture. This is a warm microcosm of the young people in Zhuhai and Macao who meet with friends in literature and art and draw concentric circles together. "Zhuhai-Macao exchanges and cooperation involve all aspects, the most important is the exchange of people's hearts, the most important thing is the most sincere exchange between young people", Li Na, principal violinist of the Macao Orchestra who participated in the Zhuhai-Macao Youth Cultural Exchange Concert, said with great feeling that in the future, she will continue to fully support the development of the "two groups" and constantly polish this youth business card shared by Zhuhai and Macao.
Less than a year after its establishment, the "two groups" have participated in a number of youth music training and performance activities that promote the main theme of the times, including participating in the 10th anniversary concert of the Zhuhai-Brunswick in Germany in September 2021, the "Children's Hearts to the Party , Sailing Away" Maritime Music Festival in October, the "Meet the Sun moon bei playing the sound of the strong country" symphony concert in December, and the 2022 Bay Area Youth New Year Violin Concert of "Strings and Sounding into Dreams" in January 2022. At the "Sailing to the Greater Bay Area - 2022 New Year Concert", the Zhuhai Youth Symphony Orchestra was invited to participate in the recording, and cooperated with the famous violinist Lu Siqing to perform two songs, "Homesick Song" and "Ode to the Yellow River", which was even more popular with the circle of friends of Zhuhai people.
Hou Wentao, secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee, said that in the future, the "two groups" will also provide more free art training and public welfare performance platforms, so that young people from the two places can convey warmth on a higher and larger stage and jointly gather upward and good forces.
