Xu Meiguang is a 36-year-old senior middle school Chinese teacher. Xu Meiguang also joined the County University for the Elderly Art Troupe and served as the deputy director of the symphony orchestra. It is reported that this symphony orchestra is the first elderly symphony orchestra in the province. During this time, he worked hard to learn flute playing and became a flute player in the orchestra. "The rehearsal of the symphony orchestra is very energetic, but seeing that everyone has come together for the common interest, and while cultivating sentiments, they have also made a little contribution to the prosperity of Minhou culture, I think it is worth the effort."

Influenced by his wife, Xu Meiguang's wife Xu Xuelan also served as the head of the literature class and the erhu primary class at the county university for the elderly. In the Erhu class, Xu Xuelan served as a class teacher for 10 years, and every time she attended class, she came to the scene in advance to sort out the music frame, seats, and prepare the audio.
