Italy's Romatoday reported that the May Day concert in Rome will be held tomorrow at the Circus Maximus, and 50,000 to 60,000 spectators are expected to attend.
In addition, the much-watched Europa League match between Rome and Bayer Leverkusen will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Rome on 2 May, with around 5,000 German fans expected to arrive in Rome tomorrow.
To ensure that both events run smoothly, the City of Rome and the police have plans to strengthen security and adjust public transport services.
On the morning of the 1st, traffic control will begin in the neighborhood around the Circus Maximus. The subway operating hours will be extended to 1:30 a.m. the next day. However, the Circo Massimo station on line B will be closed from 9 p.m., and those who use the metro will need to use the Piramide and Colosseo stations.
The city of Rome has also issued a ban on the sale or packaging of alcohol or food in glass bottles in the vicinity of the Circus Maximus and in key areas of the ancient city from May 1 to 3, allowing customers to consume in stores.
