Belgian composers hold Chinese New Year concerts to celebrate the Chinese New Year

Ghent, Belgium, February 19 (Reporter De Yongjian) Soprano dressed in Chinese costumes, accompanied by notes typed by the Chinese yangqin, sang Meng Haoran's "Spring Dawn" with Chinese... The Belgian composer Johan Famaey) celebrated the Chinese New Year with a "Memory of China" Chinese New Year concert on the 18th.

On the evening of the 18th local time, the concert was held at the quaint Ghent Opera House. Led by Zuo Han and accompanied by Chinese and Western instruments such as yangqin, violin, cello, pipe organ, percussion instrument, bell and drum instruments, the two Belgian soprano singers sang Meng Haoran's "Spring Dawn" with Chinese, Li Yu's "Dark Night Cry", "Yu Meiren", "Lang Taosha", "Meet and Greet", Su Shi's "Spring Supper", "Dingfeng Wave", "Drinking on the Lake After the First Sunny Rain", Li Qingzhao's "Like a Dream" and "Slow Sound" and other 10 songs.

The clarity of the yangqin is mixed with the low sound of the cello, the melodious soprano tells the lingering tang poems, and the song "Slow Voice" joins the chorus of the Belgian Youth Choir... In the distinct style of "Combining East and West", the concert interprets the "Chinese memory" in Zuo Han's heart through 10 classic Chinese ancient poems.

In 2005, Zuo Han went to China to study, and successively engaged in music teaching and organ performance in Beijing, Qingdao and other places; after returning to Belgium in 2009, Zuo Han injected his understanding of Chinese poetry culture into his musical works, and finally completed the composition of 10 classic Chinese ancient poems, and then created a "Chinese Memory" theme concert.

In November 2011, the "Memory of China" theme concert was staged in the small town of Lokeren near Ghent; after the "Memory of China" New Year Concert was held on the 18th, it is planned that Zuo Han will take the stage with the theme concert of "Memory of China" in September this year, and continue to use the common musical language to lead the Belgian audience into the beautiful chinese ancient poetry and poetry.
