At 9:00 a.m. local time on the 13th, the "2022 Year of the Tiger West Central Spring Festival Road Run" started at the whistle of Madrid's famous Castile Avenue, and the organizers of the event specially prepared red uniforms for the runners, adding a touch of "Chinese red" to madrid that was slightly silent on the weekend.
Around the theme of the Year of the Tiger, the overseas Chinese in Madrid celebrated the lion dance before the competition, and the award ceremony was held after the competition, and the winner received a commemorative plaque printed with a small tiger.

As one of the series of activities of the "Happy Spring Festival" in Spain in 2022, the "2022 Year of the Tiger West Central Spring Festival Road Run" is one of the few offline celebrations. Zhang Zhirou, a representative of the organizers of the event, introduced that due to the impact of the epidemic, the first "Year of the Ox West Middle Spring Festival Road Run" in 2021 was held online, and after turning offline this year, the event was quite popular with the Spanish people, and the number of participants increased significantly compared with 2021.

In addition to the offline competition in Madrid, the event also launched the "online competition" in China on the opening day of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games on February 4, and closed simultaneously with the Madrid offline competition on February 13, in order to express support and blessings for the Beijing Winter Olympics.
