In 2014, Zhang Yiping, who worked in a garment factory in Zhejiang, returned to his hometown of Kara Village, Longquan Town, Danzhai County, Guizhou Province. Batik is a local family craft, and Zhang Yiping learned batik with her mother at the age of 9. After being exposed to the advanced operation and management mode of garment factories in coastal areas, Zhang Yiping founded a batik cooperative after returning to his hometown with the encouragement of his mother. She believes that batik is a golden key to changing the poor life in her hometown.
After the arduous operation in the early stage of entrepreneurship, Zhang Yiping and her cooperative have won recognition from all walks of life. In 2016, Zhang Yiping founded Lanjin Company. The company combines traditional batik with modern design concepts, integrates fashion elements into traditional batik culture, and injects young vitality into the intangible heritage batik technology. Lanjin's fashion batik products have thus won the favor of the market and are exported to other provinces and even abroad.
