On March 24, the Chinese Poetry Society approved the Guizhou Poetry Association, agreed to award Sheng Yuwen and three others the honorary title of "100-year-old Poet", and issued an honorary certificate.
In order to commend the dedication and contribution of the elderly to the cause of Chinese poetry, the Chinese Poetry Society has carried out the activity of awarding the honorary title of centenarian poet. Mr. Sheng Yuwen received this honor, which is truly deserved.

Sheng Yuwen was born in December 1920 in Pujiang County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, and graduated from the Department of Chinese Literature of Zhejiang University in 1942. After that, he engaged in education in Guizhou and served as the principal of four middle schools including Fenggang, Cen Gong, Huishui and Hezhang. After liberation, he served as a supervisor of the Bijie Commissioner's Office, an education consultant of the Bijie Administrative Office, and a member of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for two consecutive terms. During his teaching at Bijie College, Mr. Sheng Yuwen's achievements in classical poetry made him famous. Mr. Sheng Yuwen has successively served as the president and honorary president of the Bijie Regional Poetry Society, the Yuelian Society (later renamed the Bijie Poetry Association), and the vice president and president of the Wumeng Poetry Society.
Since 1987, Mr. Sheng Yuwen has been associated with a publication. Mr. Sheng Yuwen single-handedly founded the "Wumeng Poetry Journal", under the careful care of Mr. Sheng Yuwen, this journal has changed from small to large, and its content has been continuously enriched, and it has become the leader of poetry publications in China. Nowadays, this "Wumeng Poetry Journal" (later renamed "Wumeng Poetry" and "Qianbei Poetry") has gone through 35 Spring and Autumn Periods, of which 33 years have walked hand in hand with Mr. Sheng Yuwen, and Mr. Sheng personally edited 126 issues.

Mr. Sheng Yuwen has made important contributions to the collection and collation of local cultural achievements. In 1995, zhou Wanru, a female poet in the late Qing Dynasty and northwest of the Qing Dynasty, published a collection of poems by Zhou Wanru, a poet of the late Qing Dynasty, published by the Guizhou People's Publishing House, which enabled the works of this talented bijie female poet to be passed on to future generations. Soon after, a collection of poems by another contemporary, Chen Qiuyun, commented on by Mr. Sheng Yuwen, was also published. The works of the two female poets add color to the Qianbei Cultural Corridor.
Mr. Sheng Yuwen deeply loves his second hometown, Bijie, and in his poetry works and edited poems, he has praised the beautiful Bijie and chanted about history and culture. Mr. Sheng Yuwen has learned five cars and works, and he has edited 4 parts of "Wumeng Poetry And Poetry Lianxuan", edited the "Chinese Poetry Integration Guizhou Bijie Volume" and "Chinese Couplet Integration Guizhou Bijie Volume" on the first and second collections, and published his personal monograph "Poetry Quge Law Interpretation" and so on.
Mr. Sheng Yuwen's wife, Ms. Xu Zhengyun, also has a deep attainment in classical poetry, which is the most beautiful scenery in the poetry circle of Bijie. The couple worked together to cultivate the cultural paradise, so that ordinary days bloomed with brilliant buds that highlighted the height, width and thickness of life. One book after another is their expression of the most affectionate feelings for the world - in 1999, on The 80th birthday of Teacher Sheng, he and his wife jointly published "Evening Qingju Poetry Couplet"; in 2009, on Teacher Sheng's 90th birthday, they co-published "Evening Qingju Poetry Collection" with his wife; in 2019, Teacher Sheng yizhi again published "Evening Qingju Poetry Couplet" with his wife.
Today, the 103-year-old Mr. Sheng Yuwen has won the honor of "100-year-old poet" awarded by the Chinese Poetry Society, and we have deeper felt the erudition, elegance, frankness, humility and open-mindedness of this century old man.
