On April 21, 2022, Li Xiangsheng, a farmer in Hujindian Town, Yunmeng County, read and sorted out books at home.

He farmed for half his life, he was in business for half a lifetime, and his love for poetry was a lifetime.

Li Xiangsheng was born in 1944 in Li'an Village, Hujindian Town. In 1961, the normal school he attended was dissolved, and he immediately returned home to work as a farmer, becoming an "old-fashioned" farmer. After the reform and opening up, Li Xiangsheng came to the ancient town of Hujindian to do business, operating cloth and other businesses.

Whether it is farming in his hometown or doing business in the ancient town, Li Xiangsheng has not forgotten to buy books, read books, and write poems. He subscribed to a variety of newspapers and magazines, saw the right books and magazines, and always tried his best to buy them and read them. For decades, his collection of books reached more than 5,000 volumes, making him the farmer with the largest collection of books in Hujindian Town.

In 2001, Li Xiangsheng's "Cheers for Beijing's Olympic Bid" won the Excellence Award and was selected as a large-scale document "Milestones of National Rejuvenation"; in the same year, he participated in the Spring Festival Competition held by Hubei People's Radio, and his works were awarded the "22nd Spring League Grand Prix" Changlian Series Excellence Award.

In July 2002, Li Xiangsheng was admitted as a member of the Hubei Provincial Association of Yuelian, becoming one of the few peasant members.

In 2003, Li Xiangsheng won the special prize of the 7th "Yunhe Cup" and the first "Bridge Cup" at home and abroad in Hubei Province.

In 2009, Li Xiangsheng participated in a competition held by Sanmenxia City, and his works won the Excellence Award in the National Grand Prix of the National Federation of Arts on "Stressing Ethics and Cultivating Cultivation".

In 2014, Li Xiangsheng's works won the Excellence Award in the "Poetry Competition in Commemoration of the 110th Anniversary of Comrade Chen Yun's Birth" held by The Chen Yun Memorial Hall.
