The dazzling lanterns attract citizens and tourists to come and watch

More than 180 exquisite flower lanterns are available for viewing

The exhibition hall consists of five floors, the second, third and fourth floors are permanent exhibition areas, and the flower lantern area on the second floor collects many precious flower lanterns, which can be viewed on weekdays. These days, many citizens and tourists come to admire the lanterns and feel the charm of the lanterns.

Yesterday morning, the reporter came to the flower lantern area on the second floor, the flower lanterns are diverse in form, and some of the flower lanterns are novel in shape, full of artistry, ornamentation and innovation. "The lanterns are exquisite, the Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, and I specially take advantage of the weekend to take the children out to feel it." Ms. Lin, a citizen, brought her children to admire the lanterns, and the children saw a variety of flower lanterns and danced excitedly. Ms. Lin also specially recorded a video, she said that she hopes that her children will grow up healthily, and when they grow up, they will share the stories of their childhood.

This year, the area where the flower lanterns are concentrated is on the fifth floor, which has been set up and will be officially opened to the public today. At that time, more than 180 fine flower lanterns will be exhibited, and the traditional representative lamps of Quanzhou such as colored lanterns, engraved paper lamps, and needle piercing lamps will be collected, all of which are representative works of non-hereditary inheritors of Quanzhou flower lanterns, and have strong ornamentality.

The flower lanterns on display have their own characteristics, the content is based on landscape landscapes, historical figures, birds and animals, pavilions and pavilions, the categories mainly include marquee lamps, lotus lamps, Baolian lamps, etc., the most characteristic of Quanzhou is "boneless lamp" and "filament lamp". Among them, the "boneless lamp" is original to Quanzhou and is directly connected with cardboard, which is different from the general practice of making bamboo skeletons for flower lanterns. The "filament lamp" adopts the practice of hollowing out, and the overall permeability after lighting.

Quanzhou flower lanterns are integrated into a variety of processes

According to reports, the lantern artist uses paper twisting to tie the bamboo grate into the skeleton of the lamp first, and the cut paper or silk cloth spray water is tightened and pasted on the skeleton, pasted with lace, painted with patterns, and hung with silk spikes, which becomes a colorful lantern. The caiza process is used to make flower lanterns and has a long history. The use of bamboo as a skeleton, through the ingenious conception and skillful skills of the craftsmen, can be made into a variety of birds and animals, famous mountain ancient temples, etc., the appearance is not limited, so it can be both large, can also be small and exquisite, there are large seat lamps, water lamps, hanging lights, etc. It takes seven or eight processes to make a colorful lantern, such as designing and modeling, tying a skeleton, making a light lamp, mounting paste, gold inlaid thread, coloring, decoration, etc.

Needle punch lamps and engraved paper lamps have more hanging lights and lanterns in appearance, and generally have no skeleton. The needle piercing lamp is pierced with a steel needle on the cardboard; the paper lamp is made of cardboard with the engraved pattern. The engraving paper is divided into yang carving and yin carving, leaving the part of the pattern as a yang carving, and the pattern composed of a hollow part is a yin carving.

The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism said that there are more than 10 kinds of flower lanterns in Quanzhou, most of which are inseparable from the three traditional characteristic crafts of Quanzhou, namely color tying, paper engraving and needle punching. The common denominator of the three processes is fine, which tests the craftsmanship and patience of the lantern craftsman. A lamp is not limited to one process, it can be a combination of multiple processes.
