Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier broke the news that the original large expansion pack of Assassin's Creed: Temple of Heroes will be expanded into a complete game as a new "Assassin's Creed" game, which is similar in scale to the upcoming DLC "Dawn of Doom". The new game, featuring Bassim in Temple of Heroes, takes place before Assassin's Creed: Temple of Heroes, mainly in Baghdad in the 9th century, abandoning the usual open-world setting in favor of a more linear stealth gameplay, scheduled to be launched in late 2022 or 2023.
Foreign media Outlet also said that the news was confirmed through their sources. Bloomberg reported that Ubisoft did this because Assassin's Creed: Infinity was not yet available, and other games were in trouble, including "Black Sails", "Prince of Persia: A Remake of time", "Beyond Good and Evil 2" and other games that left gaps in the release schedule.
A Ubisoft spokesperson told Bloomberg they would not respond to rumors or speculation because it would hurt their development team and community. Ubisoft says they have a solid and exciting lineup of released games, both of an already famous brand with new stories and features, and a whole new IP that will continue to change the landscape of today's games.
