Everyone is saying that Ubisoft's game is a can, and if you eat it several times in a row, you will get tired, and you will not eat it for a long time and be hungry. I recently tasted a couple of "cans" and talked to people about how it tasted.

Let's start with the Assassin's Creed series, I recently completed Assassin's Creed: The Hall of Heroes and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, changed flavors in between, completed Far Cry 6, and was opening the pit of Assassin's Creed: Origins. Originally, I was not a player who was good at stealth assassination, and I would never sneak around, thanks to the gameplay changes of the mythological trilogy, I was able to experience the charm of this big IP that traveled through time and space in my favorite way.
Why Assassin's Creed Took the "Road to RPG"
Compared to previous works of Assassin's Creed, Odyssey and the Hall of Heroes, in addition to simplifying the game development process, from the player's point of view, is to further lower the barrier to entry of the game.
Because not all players have the patience and ability or the perseverance to honestly sneak. I remember playing a stealth game called Aragami 2 on XGP last year, where players played as ninjas who needed to use the cover of the night to assassinate as many targets as possible. If you ask if you can go head-to-head with the enemy? Sure, but its extremely low combat tolerance rate will quickly dispel that idea. Looking back at that experience at this point, if the protagonist is not a crisp ninja, but Kassandra or Aver, perhaps the game will have been completed a long time ago.
Compared with the Odyssey, what are the improvements and shortcomings of the Hall of Heroes?
In my previous articles, I have seen more than once players complain that they are discouraged by such a huge collection and story length. Indeed, in a work where the overall gameplay is relatively repetitive, I might never have had the courage to write this article if it were not for the plot or gameplay as a driving force.
Overall, the plot of "Odyssey" is better than that of "Hall of Heroes", and "Hall of Heroes" is more interesting than "Odyssey". If you can really play patiently until later, you will find that Kassandra's story is really well deserved for the name "Odyssey". All the hardships along the way, all the tears will be dissipated by the final reunion. Although many players complain that the story is smelly and long, and the supporting characters have no depth, I am deeply convinced, but you have to admit that Kassandra is indeed a mature, beautiful, and indomitable Spartan warrior. Otherwise, how could so many people be so emotional when they reunited with Kassandra during the Isle of Skye mission in the "Hall of Heroes"? As you sit back and savor each story, you'll find that many seemingly unrelated stories are moving you closer to the truth step by step, and the side quests in each region also give you an overview of most of the landscape and water of the place.
In contrast, Evol's story makes Ubisoft seem to be a bit "Jiang Lang exhausted", they seem to be unable to write a "Odyssey" like a magnificent epic, nor can they come up with a "guardian" like a heavyweight setting, let alone a combination of 11 endings like the previous work, but use clever methods to write each regional story into a unit drama, although independently it seems that each story has its own highlights, but the sense of separation caused by this is inevitable.
In terms of open world exploration, "Origin" and "Odyssey" both follow the same set of completed area items, the list items of the target, and the "Hall of Heroes" completely abandons the previous setting, and the different colored light points have long told you what will be inside, and you can also collect them through the cartographers in the village. However, in order to increase the length of the game, Ubisoft completely overturned the collection method of WYSIWYG under the framework of "Location Goals", adding many meaningless push boxes and door latch puzzles to the "Hall of Heroes". Thus produced a very magical result: from the process point of view, the experience of the Odyssey was better than that of the Hall of Heroes, and from the result, the opposite conclusion was drawn.
Combining the experiences of the two games, I don't recommend that you do the full collection, even if both use different ways to encourage players to complete this goal. Having this time is not as good as experiencing more cloud tourism to experience a "journey of discovery".
The progress of The Open World at Ashoka
To talk about this topic, we have to mention another game, Far Cry 6. One thing I'm convinced of is that a truly good formulaic open world shouldn't make the player feel the existence of formulaicity.
In order to add enough content, Far Cry 6 can completely separate the collection elements, mini-games and the location of the main line on the map, which means that if you only play the main line, there will be many places to go, and the scavenger hunt and grand prix as a small game have eliminated the formulaic feeling through different level designs and readable texts, bringing a completely different experience, and the "World Event" mission logic and script narrative in Assassin's Creed: The Temple of Heroes are also similar. I believe that paper collection has a similar purpose, but unfortunately the difficulty is so high that everyone uses their skills to skip class. To put it more bluntly, if the exploration of the tomb in Assassin's Creed is raised to the level design level of the "Tomb Raider" reboot trilogy, I believe Ubisoft will be able to take it to another level in open world design.
Finally, there are some tips about Assassin's Creed: Odyssey that can give some advice to players who are about to reach the later stages.
If you're buying the console version, I don't recommend playing on XSS because the textures are blurry and even the maps are mushy, and I don't recommend playing Origin because there's no next-generation optimization. If you're buying the PC version, congratulations, it's important to modify it in the post, especially if you want to upgrade different equipment sets to get different play experiences. If you play the Atlantis DLC, then you can completely mess around and stop sneaking around and assassinate, because the Isu soldiers are poorly organized and disciplined, each is a little deaf and blind, and there are no annoying bounty hunters.
Finally, I believe everyone has seen the news that Ubisoft is about to add more of its own works to Microsoft XGP, if you recently want to buy assassin's creed series works, I recommend waiting.
