[Ubisoft may have changed the large DLC of Assassin's Creed: Temple of Heroes to a stand-alone work]

According to Eurogamer quoting Bloomberg, Ubisoft is working on a new Assassin's Creed game code-named "Rift.". The game is set in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, and features Bassim from Assassin's Creed: Temple of Heroes.

The new game was reportedly originally a major expansion of Assassin's Creed: Temple of Heroes, but was changed to a standalone mini-title due to filling a release gap. Compared to the mythological trilogy, the work is smaller, has no large open world, and pays more attention to stealth elements. The game is scheduled to be released later this year or next year.
