Recently, according to foreign media reports, "Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl" will include NFT elements when it is released next year.

Developer GSC Game World has announced that Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl will have its own "meta-universe" where players can live as "meta-humans (NFT in the form of NPCs)".

The game will use "blockchain technology to make the community part of Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl" as players register for item drops in the game, "which will evolve into a new feature based on the Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl game".

GSC Game World is working with NFT platform DMarket to develop new projects.

The first batch will be auctioned in January 2022, leaving players as "the first meta-humans of all time," i.e. non-playable characters that present highly detailed features in the game world, possibly using face mapping techniques.

According to The Verge, GSC Game World CEO Yevgeny Grigovich said: "The idea of the NFT is that players can reinvent their identity in the game through one of the NPCs."

GSC Game World said that after the "meta-human", other NFTs will be released in the future, although the company declined to say what they might be, saying only that they would not affect the gameplay.

GSC Game World is the next developer to explore NFT, following Ubisoft, Electronic Arts and most recently Peter Molyneux.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be | on April 28, 2022 at XSX Available on S and PC.
