Guangzhou, the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, also known as Yangcheng, Flower City. In 2018, I traveled to Guangzhou for the Spring Festival and conducted an in-depth tour to explore the history of Guangzhou. Guangzhou's city symbol~ Wuyang Stone Statue, located in Yuexiu Park.

In 1956, the Guangzhou People's Fine Arts Society (the predecessor of the current Guangzhou Sculpture Institute) received instructions from Zhu Guang, then mayor of Guangzhou, to create an iconic sculpture that represented the image of Guangzhou, like the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, which became the city's city logo.

After receiving the task, the Guangzhou People's Art Society mobilized all personnel to participate in the design. The design team designed the sculpture according to the legend that the five sheep fairy came to Guangzhou and brought good fortune and happiness to the people of Yangcheng, they gave rice to the commoners, and wished "may this be a long time, there will never be a famine", and then vacated the air, and the five sheep turned into a boulder).
