Sima Guang (1019–1086), courtesy name Junshi (君實), was a native of Shuishui Township, Xia County, Shaanxi (present-day Xia County, Shanxi), and was known as Mr. Shushui (涑水).

Northern Song Dynasty politician, historian, and writer, who claimed to be the successor of Sima Fu, the Prince of Anping of the Western Jin Dynasty.

The full title of "Wang Shanggong's Epitaph" is "Epitaph of the Late Song Dynasty Emperor Zhishi Wang Cemetery", and its inscription was written by Fan Chunren, the son of Fan Zhongyan, a famous minister of the Song Dynasty, and engraved by the famous historian Sima Guangshudan and Li Shu. "Wang Shanggong's Epitaph" is a Song Dynasty famous chronicle, which has high historical material and calligraphy artistic value.

The "Tomb of Wang Shanggong" was excavated in 1936 in Luoyang Beichenzhuang and engraved in October of the seventh year of Song Yuanfeng (1084). The stone is square in shape, 77 cm long and 77 cm wide and 15 cm thick. Zhiwen is a book of letters, divided into two columns, each column has 41 lines, and the full line is 20 words.

Wang Shanggong, "History of Song" is not transmitted. The Epitaph of Wang Shanggong is recorded in the Collected Works of Fan Chunren.
