In terms of new energy, the momentum is good, with batch sales of 16,400 vehicles in January, up 22.6% year-on-year; terminal sales of 14,400 units, up 79.2% year-on-year, up 34.9% month-on-month, continuing to consolidate the dominant position of the domestic and global first camp. It is reported that in the whole year of 2021, SAIC's global sales of new energy for passenger cars ranked seventh in the world and fourth in China.

Overseas markets are also frequently reported, with export sales of 20,000 vehicles in January, a sharp increase of 67.8% year-on-year, and continue to win the overseas sales champion of China's single brand with absolute advantages. In January, the plug-in hybrid SUV model MG eHS entered the top five in the Swedish market, creating the best record for Chinese brand models. In 2021, SAIC Passenger Vehicle's new energy products were called by the People's Daily as the Chinese brand of "mainland automobile electrification and intelligence in the forefront of the world": especially in the Swedish market, not only terminal sales entered the top four, but two hot-selling models also entered the list of "2021 Top Ten New Cars" selected by Teknikens Varlds, Sweden's largest media, among which the pure electric SUV model MG ZS EV. In the "2021 China Automobile Retention Rate Report" jointly released by the China Automobile Dealers Association and Jingzhen Estimation, the retention rate of ROEIC and MG brands under SAIC Passenger Vehicles maintained positive growth for many consecutive months in 2021, and the three-year retention rate MG rose by up to 6% throughout the year, and Roewe rose by 11%, of which the pure electric vehicle Roewe Ei5, plug-in hybrid model Roewe Ei6 MAX, roewe RX5 ePLUS three models topped the market segment list.
