Introduction: In September last year, Beijing Hyundai launched a new MPV - Kusitu, positioned in the medium and large MPV, the price range is 169,800 - 218,800. For this car, it can be simply understood that this is one of the few joint venture MPV within 200,000. So how did Kustu sell? According to the latest data from the Association of Passenger Vehicles, in December last year, Kustu sold 2174 vehicles in a single month, while the Odyssey sold only 1493 vehicles in that month.
Of course, as a latecomer, Kustu has been listed for less than half a year, and it is not easy to say whether the sales volume is high or not. But now that I can sell more than 2,000 units a month, I think that's pretty good. You know, Odyssey sold 45,155 vehicles last year, and the average monthly sales volume was only more than 3,700 vehicles. So, if you want to choose an MPV within 200,000, is Kustu worth recommending?
First of all, we need to be clear that Kustu is a main home MPV, and it is almost impossible to find a business atmosphere in it. For positioning, Kustu and Odyssey are very similar, but in terms of price, Kustu is much cheaper, the starting price of Odyssey is 235,800, and the top price of Kustu is only 218,800. Therefore, if it is a joint venture MPV with a budget of 200,000 yuan, there are really few direct competitors of Kustu.
Judging from the distribution of Kustu's models, it offers two powertrains, 1.5T and 2.0T, the former with a maximum power of 170 horsepower and the latter with 236 horsepower, both of which match the 8AT transmission. Combined with the price, you can choose the high-end of the 1.5T model (179,800) and the low-end of the 2.0T model (192,800) within 200,000.
From the power point of view, if it is just a sedan, considering the price-performance ratio, I might recommend the 1.5T model. However, this is an MPV, a seven-seater car that will often face "full load". Then the power is naturally not easy to compromise, so, in comparison, I recommend the 2.0T model more.
From the configuration point of view, the Kustu 2.0T low-end model is equipped with LED far and near beams, 18-inch wheels, front and rear reversing radar, reversing image, side blind spot image, automatic parking, segmented electric sunroof, right-side electric sliding door, keyless entry/start, remote start, imitation leather seat, main driver electric adjustment, 10.4-inch central control screen, Internet of Vehicles, automatic air conditioning, on-board air purifier and so on. It is worth mentioning that this version of the model can also be equipped with an optional double-sided electric sliding door. From the configuration point of view, the configuration of the 2.0T low-end model is completely sufficient.

The second row of positions, designed with small table boards, wireless charging functions, cup holders, USB interfaces, etc., the details are in place. From the perspective of home MPV, the humanized experience of Kustu is the advantage, and the third row is designed with the function of "calling" in the first row. Of course, due to the length of less than 5 meters, it may not surprise people in terms of space comfort.
