The Win11/10 free toolset PowerToys 0.55.1 was released

IT House February 5 news, Microsoft called PowerToys free system utility suite resurrected from the Windows XP era, and in May 2019 introduced Windows 10 system. Can be used by advanced users to tune and simplify Windows operations to improve efficiency. IT House learned that by pairing with the Windows 10/Windows 11 shell, it allows users to customize individual workflows.

Microsoft released PowerToys v0.55.1 just a few days after the release of v0.55.0, which is a patch to solve some problems, Microsoft pointed out that this patch needs to be installed to fix the problems in v0.55.0, and they believe that these issues are important for stability based on user feedback.

Here's what's new:

#15910 - Shortcut keys retain the values of shortcut guide, mouse highlighter, and mouse pointer crosshairs when disabled. This bug has been around for some time, but it was only noticed as the number of mouse utilities using shared code paths increased.

#15450 - Fixed a bug where settings could not be saved correctly. This bug was introduced during the 0.53 installer update and is now fixed in 0.55.1.

#15487 - After installation, the PT does not automatically start as an administrator unless the dont-elevate parameter is used. This issue was introduced during the 0.53 installer update and has now been fixed in 0.55.1.

#15869 - Removed a useless code path and unused DLL.

#15885 - Mouse pointer crosshair crashes race condition error.

#15348, #15488 - Help wayfind for small user experience fixes.
