How much does it cost me to live in Ghana
Many people complain for no reason that you need a lot of money to travel and even more need to move. As a rule, those who don't travel a lot, let alone immigrants, complain about this. Let's see if that's really the case.
Rescued from the heat. December
I don't think about the cost of the flight and all the associated expenses because these are necessary and understandable expenses. If you are already facing problems at this stage, then this is the main motivation to consider immigration, even if you cannot earn a basic ticket in Russia.
Let's get started:
housing.
In Ghana I rented a house for 2000 rubles a month!!! It is a single room house with a kitchenette and bathroom. Water and electricity are available. Electricity is paid separately, 300-400 rubles per month (in my case). The local house was rented and unfurnished so I bought mattresses, tables, chairs and stoves. All that's left is a lifetime. All this costs about 12,000 rubles.
As far as I'm concerned, it's a very budget option. The house is located in a non-tourist resort, a few hours drive from the sea. If you hope and opportunity, you can find more interesting places. Here we will talk about the maximum savings.
food
We eat in a balanced way. That is, local stuff, as well as stuff to buy in the supermarket. Approximately $120 per month. If you only eat local food, it costs about $30 per month. All food is absolutely natural: fresh fish, meat, eggs, rice. There are also local side dishes made from local ingredients. It all depends on your preferences and adaptability to the environment.

Transportation and fuel.
Gasoline now costs about $1 per liter. If there is no car, then there is public transportation. From where I am to Kumasi (40 km), minibuses run every ten minutes. The ticket price is 60 rubles. Regular bus tickets from Kumasi to the capital Accra cost 700 roubles. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours. Buses are equipped with air conditioning and a TV.
internet
If you're going to be a blogger or you need a lot of internet, the cost per month is about 3000 rubles. It is 150 GB. More than enough for me, I shared with Jaclyn. The connection here is good, and at least 3G can be connected in all settlements.
serve
For $20 a month, you can hire a cleaner to come and clean the house thoroughly a few times a week, plus a few dollars and she'll cook for you. People here are willing to take on any job. Having an assistant is a very common thing, not some kind of luxury. We haven't used this option yet because the house is small and we can handle it ourselves, but when we move we will definitely rent one.
The local bank in my town
Maybe these are the most basic expenses you'll encounter in your daily life. You will arrive with enough clothes. It's a hot summer all year round. Of course, if you plan to actively travel and visit various places, then the amount of expenditure will increase greatly. Personally, we spend the most when visiting Accra and going to different venues. The capital price tag is much higher than in the region of the country.
As for medicines, there are plenty of pharmacies with everything you need. Of course, if you are very ill and need medical supervision, then it is best to stay in your home country, under the supervision of a doctor. Moving is more suitable for people who have not yet had time to destroy their health. So far, I have only taken antimalarials and went to the dentist on arrival (treatment of 2 channels of teeth and filling costs about 10000 rubles)
total:
For $150 a month, you get a rooftop, all-natural food, fruit, eternal summer, and an ocean hour away. And then there: help with housework and live an absolutely carefree life without stress and tension. Everything else depends on you.
How expensive such a life is - decide for yourself. Personally, it's much cheaper than Moscow, and the more money you spend in Moscow, you get worse climates, stress and poor quality store food, which ultimately affects health and makes a lot of people unable to give in later.
