Do you know why your children don't love to read?

There are two main reasons for the child's low interest in reading, or no interest:

First, parents do not create a family environment with a reading atmosphere for their children. At home, there is less to do about reading, especially too little parent-child reading;

Second, parents' expectations of their children are too high, or with a strong utilitarian orientation.

For example, buy children tomes, Chinese and foreign masterpieces (some are simplified), instrumental books (words and sentences, classic reading books of traditional Chinese studies, memorization of ancient poems, detailed explanations of texts, composition techniques, introduction to composition, how to write words, how to write weekly notes, diaries, etc.), regardless of children's cognitive ability and emotional needs, forced to read.

Some parents let their children read an article, or a book to write a post-reading feeling, or excerpt good words and sentences.

This kind of request seems reasonable, and it also seems to be helpful for improving children's reading ability, knowledge level and analytical ability.

In fact, this kind of reading with tasks often makes children read passively with pressure.

Reading is no longer an easy and pleasant thing to do, but to accomplish something that must be done.

Over time, this pressure will slowly transform into inner rejection, making children slowly tired of reading, and even fearful. In the end, interest in reading is completely lost.
