The eyes are the windows of the soul, vision is particularly important for everyone, and parents are particularly concerned about their children's vision.
Recently, Ms. Gao of Liangping District encountered a troublesome matter. Three years ago, when the child Yangyang (pseudonym) was slightly myopic, Ms. Gao took the child to a juvenile vision correction center for treatment. Unexpectedly, three years later, the effect of Yangyang vision correction was not good, and the degree of myopia also increased.
What's going on? What do the two sides think about this? Upstream journalists interviewed him.

Pay 20,000 yuan for correcting children's vision
The incident should start from three years ago, in 2019, Ms. Gao took 8-year-old Yangyang to check her vision, and after a hospital examination, she found that the child's left eye vision was 125 and the right eye was 175, and the doctor recommended that the child wear glasses.
By chance, Ms. Gao saw the store advertisement of the Liangping District Bao pupil vision improvement center, and the store staff introduced her to the facilities and equipment in the store, and told her that through correction, the child did not need to wear glasses, so Gao took the child to the store to experience the correction.
On New Year's Day 2019, at the invitation of the store, Ms. Gao took Yangyang to participate in the large-scale public welfare activities held by the store. At the event, the staff introduced many cases of vision improvement, and Ms. Gao was very touched to see this.
According to the preferential price of correction at the scene of the activity, 20,000 yuan can be paid in the institution to correct the child's vision until the age of 18. "At that time, I immediately swiped my card to pay 10,000 yuan, and after 5 days, I made up the balance of 10,000 yuan in the store."
After paying the fee, Yangyang began to do vision training in the store, twice a week, for about 45 minutes each time.
"It's very inconvenient to wear glasses, and we also want our babies to try not to wear glasses." In this way, throughout the year, Yangyang regularly visited the center for vision correction.
The correction effect is not good, and the degree is increased
A year later, the re-measurement of vision found that the child's vision correction effect was not good, the left eye 275, the right eye 325, Ms. Gao immediately consulted the store. "The baby is in the growth stage, the degree is unstable, and it is normal for it to fluctuate up and down." The store replied.
The degree increased, and Ms. Gao also accepted this fact and put glasses on Yangyang. "The correction center provides lenses and we buy the frames ourselves." Ms. Gao hopes that after wearing glasses, the child's degree can be stabilized.
Ms. Gao said that since the beginning of wearing glasses, for a year and a half, every two or three months, she will go to the store to consult, and each time she gets a reply that the degree has not increased, and the naked eye vision is still OK.
Based on trust, Ms. Gao did not go to the hospital and other third parties to verify the child's vision.
Until December 2021, the child's glasses frame is damaged and needs to be re-equipped with glasses, so is the current lens power suitable? Ms. Gao then went to the store for consultation.
"On December 18th, we went to training, ready to measure the degree, which was not measured at the time, and the clerk called us to test it for the next training. After the test, the clerk told us that the baby's degree had increased. Ms. Gao said that under her questioning, the clerk informed that Yangyang's degree had risen by more than 100.
"How much is 100, is there 150?" Ms. Gao was very angry and asked the store for an explanation.
The next day, Ms. Gao took her children to two institutions to measure her vision, and after testing, Yangyang's visual strength rose again, with 325 in the left eye and 525 in the right eye.
Ms. Gao said that people who wear glasses know that if the degree changes by more than 50, the lenses must be replaced, otherwise it will bring eye fatigue and affect vision.

Why is the child's vision correction not working well?
After three years of vision correction, why does the child's vision not decrease but increase? Ms. Gao found a store for this purpose.
The upstream news reporter called the Liangping District Bao hit the Youth Vision Improvement Center, and the store manager Ms. Tan explained, "They usually arrange too many training classes for the dolls, such as painting, writing, playing the piano, sometimes using their eyes excessively, and the eyes can't get a good rest." ”
Ms. Tan said, "In the later stage, the child did not correct according to the prescribed correction time, and could not guarantee the correction frequency twice a week, even if it came, it was done immediately after leaving, did not sit down, rested for a while and then left." The baby is so tired, the eyes are too tired to be unable to bear, how can the eyesight not rise! ”
Ms. Gao believes that children are indeed learning to draw and learn piano, and occasionally go less than twice a week in the later stage, but once a week is still guaranteed. Parents attach great importance to their children's vision, otherwise they will not go to the institution for vision correction supervision.
"When the baby first came, it was more than 100 degrees, and we thought that this degree would be controlled until the age of 18, and for the baby's vision, we felt that a little fluctuation up and down could be accepted, but the store had concealment and supervision in place."
Ms. Gao checked the child's vision records and found that from August to December last year, the child did not have a vision test. "Children's vision does not rise in a day, there is a process in between, and the center did not find out in time to inform." The child's degree has risen, the lenses are not suitable, if the lenses are replaced in time, the impact may be smaller.
In this regard, ms. Tan, the store manager, believes that the center regularly does corrective training for children, twice a week, every 10 times of training, only to do a vision measurement, due to the lack of yangyang training, sometimes once a week, sometimes only twice a month, so the time interval between doing vision measurements is long.
"Dolls wear glasses to see if things are blurred, whether they can see the blackboard, they are already 10-year-old babies, he knows best." Ms. Tan said that the general training time has not arrived, and they will not test the child's vision unless the parents offer to test the child's vision.

Regarding the refund, the two parties cannot reach an agreement
Next, how is the event handled? The store said that after communication between the two sides, the store reported the situation to the Chongqing company and gave two treatment plans. First, Ms. Gao's children can continue to correct in the store, and the store will continue to do a good job in corrective service work as always, without prejudice and neglect. The second is to refund the unexpended cost of 2,000 yuan, and the two parties will be released from correction.
Why is the refund 2000 RMB? Tan, the manager of the center, said that for the refund, she was only an intermediary, reflecting the incident to the headquarters and deciding by the headquarters. The normal visual correction fee of the store, the annual correction fee is 6,000 yuan, and Ms. Gao is involved in the preferential activities of the store, enjoying the price after the discount, therefore, according to 6,000 yuan per year, three years of correction consumed 18,000 yuan, can be returned the remaining 2,000 yuan.
For the refund, Ms. Gao did not agree. "The preferential price of the event when registering, then, when the refund is made, it cannot be calculated according to the original price of the store."
The two sides said that at present, the industrial and commercial administration department of Liangping District has intervened in mediation. The store said it would cooperate with the industry and commerce department to mediate. Ms. Gao said she was mediating and planned to sue the corrections center.
