Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed today that after communicating with Sony executives, Microsoft will fulfill all existing agreements signed by Activision Blizzard and Sony to retain the Call of Duty series on the PlayStation platform.
He tweeted: "There was a good call with Sony's leaders this week. I confirmed to them our intention to honor all existing agreements following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep Call of Duty on the PlayStation. Sony is an important part of our gaming industry and we value our relationships."
On January 18, Microsoft officially announced the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which is expected to close in June 2023.
