(Fairview Hill Council Hall, Pyongyang)
In 1985, at the Fairview Hall in Pyongyang, north Korea's highest-ranking venue, Kim Il Sung was having a drink with two juniors.
You know, Kim Il Sung rarely drinks in public! During the banquet, Kim Il Sung would also reminisce in detail about his past when he led the Korean Revolutionary Army to fight in northeast China, and in the depths of his feelings, he would always mention the name "Jang Wei-hwa" and even burst into tears.
Who are these two juniors? Can you even drink with Kim Il Sung? Who is Zhang Weihua, who made Kim Il-sung cry?
On the night of the snow and wind, Zhang Weihua ran away from home and went to Jilin alone to look for Kim Il Sung
Mention the name Zhang Weihua, the Chinese people will probably feel dazed, feel very strange, but the name Zhang Weihua in North Korea can be described as a household name. North Korean folk even have a saying that "if you don't know Jang Wei-hwa, you are not a Korean."
(Kim Il Sung)
It turned out that in the 1920s, North Korean leader Kim Il Sung went to the northeast of the mainland to study and became a close friend with his classmate at the time, Jang Wei-hwa.
Zhang Weihua, whose original name was Zhang Yaqing, was the child of a wealthy businessman in Jilin Province in the northeast, and when Zhang Weihua was seven years old, 8-year-old Kim Il Sung followed his family and took refuge in the northeast.
At that time, the land in the northeast was freezing cold, and Kim Il Sung followed his father to settle down in Linjiang City, Jilin Province, and continued his studies in Linjiang.
Three years later, the situation in North Korea gradually stabilized, Kim Il Sung returned to his homeland, and what he did not expect was that in 1925, the Japanese invaded Korea again, and in desperation, Kim Il Sung once again embarked on the road of escape.
This time, Kim Il Sung studied in Fusong, Northeast China, and also formed a close friend with Zhang Weihua, and continued this deep friendship for a lifetime.
In fact, the deep friendship between Kim Il Sung and Jang Wei-hwa was formed by their fathers at the beginning.
Kim Il Sung's father, Kim Hyung Ji, was a well-known village doctor in North Korea, kim Hyung Ji has always admired Chinese culture, and after several years of study, he has achieved a high degree of calligraphy.
(Kim Hyung-ji)
After Kim Hyung-ji fled to Fusong, the Fusong county government refused kim hyung-ji's family to settle down here because he was identified by the authorities as a "Korean exile".
When Kim Hyung-ji was struggling to settle down, Jang Wei-hwa's father, Jang Wan-cheng, brought hope to Kim Hyung-ji.
At that time, Zhang Wanhua was tormented by injuries and cold, and the Zhang family searched for famous doctors from all sides to no avail, Zhang Wanhua's health deteriorated, and the situation was urgent.
After the kind and simple Kim Hyung Ji heard about this incident, he took the initiative to go to the Zhang family to see Zhang Wancheng, because North Korea has always been extremely cold weather, so Kim Hyung Ji will adjust a few chinese medicines to drive away the cold and freeze on weekdays.
Jin Hengji gave Zhang Wancheng the recipe of his own herbs and told him to send someone to take the medicine and take it on time, and after a few days, Zhang Wancheng, who was originally dying, turned the corner.
After recovering from his illness, Zhang Wancheng was grateful to Kim Hyung-ji, and both of them loved Chinese calligraphy and painting very much, so it didn't take long for them to marry Mo Rebellion.
After learning that Kim Hyung-ji's family had not been able to settle in Fusong for a year, Zhang Wancheng contacted the local gentry and took the initiative to lobby the county government, which eventually enabled the Kim Hyung-ji family to have their own home in Fusong.
After experiencing this incident, the friendship between Kim Il Sung and Jang Wei-hwa has also developed and become close friends.
(Statue of Zhang Weihua)
Later, at the age of 15, Kim Il Sung left Fusong City and rushed to Jilin City to continue his secondary school studies.
At this time, although Kim Il Sung was not very old, he could be described as a "hero out of a teenager", and he contacted local students in Jilin Province to organize the initial revolutionary organization together.
In order to return to Korea at an early date, Kim Il Sung also established the "Korean Communist Youth League", which aims to unite those people with lofty ideals to fight against Japanese imperialism.
By this time, Kim Il Sung had already made contact with the underground organization of the Chinese Communist Party in the northeast and accepted the progressive ideas from the Chinese Communist Party.
Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, Kim Il Sung's organizational activities became more and more methodical, and he used schools to secretly develop all kinds of progressive patriots to participate in the revolutionary struggle.
One day in the winter of 1928, Kim Il Sung was listening to a lecture in a classroom. Suddenly, an old school worker pushed the door in and told him, "There is a young man who has trekked from Changbai Mountain waiting for you, and you two are about the same age." ”
Kim Il-sung, who got the news, was shocked in his heart, but he had no clue about the identity of the person who came, and he couldn't help but be shocked after a hurry - the person who came was Zhang Weihua!
As a result, the two people who had been separated for a long time hugged each other tightly, and tears came out of their eyes.
(Zhang Weihua resolutely threw himself into the revolution)
It turned out that since Kim Il Sung left Fusong to study in Jilin City, Zhang Weihua was like a lost soul at home, not thinking about tea and dinner every day, and his studies were becoming increasingly abandoned.
Although Zhang Wancheng repeatedly urged Zhang Weihua to study in Shenyang, Zhang Weihua only thought of Kim Il-sung in his heart, and he tossed and turned every night, remembering what Kim Il-sung said about "looking for the Communist Party."
So on a stormy and snowy night, Zhang Weihua secretly ran out of his home and rushed to Jilin City, where Kim Il-sung was located overnight.
After seeing Kim Il-sung, Jang Also pulled out a pistol. It turned out that on the night of the escape, Zhang Weihua stole his father's protective pistol.
After that, Jang Wei-hwa solemnly placed the pistol in Kim Il Sung's hand and said, "Look, this is my determination to dedicate myself to the revolution, this is my choice!" ”
After listening to what Zhang Weihua said, Kim Il Sung was touched and worried, he was well aware of Zhang Wancheng's love for Zhang Weihua, if Zhang Weihua followed him and had three long and two short, how could he explain to his father?
Moreover, Kim Il Sung felt that at this time, the whole Zhang family must be anxiously looking for Zhang Weihua's whereabouts, so he wanted to persuade Zhang Weihua to return to Fusong and discuss other things later.
However, Zhang Weihua, who had a resolute attitude, rejected Kim Il-sung with one mouth, saying: "There is no turning back arrow when opening the bow, and the revolution will definitely have my part!" ”
(Japanese Kwantung Army)
Seeing that Zhang Weihua was not hot-headed, Kim Il Sung was deeply moved, so he arranged Zhang Weihua in Yushutun. First, it is safer than Jilin City, and second, it can be covered up with the identity of Mr. Teaching, which is more convenient for Zhang Weihua to carry out underground work.
The following year, Kim Il Sung was about to graduate and planned to go to the mountains to organize armed forces to continue the revolution, and Zhang Weihua's brother finally found Jilin City from Fusong, and Zhang Weihua had a hard time making a choice for a while.
At that time, Kim Il Sung persuaded Jang Wei-hwa to return to Fusong to complete his studies, telling him that the power of knowledge could better carry out the revolution.
At the same time, the two agreed to wait for Zhang Weihua to graduate and continue to carry out revolutionary struggle together in Jilin City.
Under the strong persuasion of Kim Il Sung, Jang Wei-hwa reluctantly left the place of struggle of his revolution.
At the time of parting, Kim Il Sung officially developed Jang Wei-hwa into a member of the "Communist Youth League", encouraging Jang Wei-hwa not to forget the revolution and continue to persist in the underground struggle.
At the moment of crisis, he happened to meet Zhang Weihua, and Kim Il Sung escaped from danger
The following year, Kim Il Sung returned to Jilin City, and to his surprise, he was reunited with Zhang Weihua at his most dangerous moment, and escaped with Zhang Weihua's help.
It turned out that since completing secondary school, Kim Il Sung had left Jilin City and organized armed activities in the townships around the city to secretly resist japan.
In June of that year, Kim Il Sung launched an armed rebellion, but failed under the bloody suppression of the Kwantung Army, and Kim Il Sung, as the leader of the rebellion, naturally escaped the pursuit and was eventually arrested and imprisoned.
Half a year later, the released Kim Il Sung opened up new ideas and went to the remote village of Lonely Yushu in Jilin City to organize anti-Japanese forces, but due to frequent riots in the Kanto region, the warlords in the northeast stepped up their censorship of railway stations and other places, and the entire Jilin region fell into a tight lockdown.
(Northeast Army)
Kim Il Sung, who came to Jilin in secret, felt that things were not good, and he originally wanted to expand the size of the organization and accumulate strength for the revolutionary struggle, but the oppressive atmosphere in Jilin City made it difficult for Kim Il Sung to carry out effective actions.
In desperation, Kim Il Sung decided to leave Jilin City and go to the Dunhua Mountains to make a long-term plan.
However, at that time, Jilin was easy to enter and difficult to get out, the city gate and the railway line were full of sentries, and a large number of military and police agents patrolled the streets.
The Northeast Army was also ordered to frantically capture the Chinese Communists, and Korean revolutionaries were also important targets for them.
In order to let Kim Il Sung leave Jilin smoothly, several female comrades who joined the revolution dressed up in a noble manner and tried to escort Kim Il Sung into the station by means of a tight encirclement.
However, when they arrived at the Jilin Railway Station, they found that a large number of military police were checking the passengers' luggage piece by piece, and Kim Il Sung, who was carrying confidential documents, naturally could not get on the train!
After traveling more than ten kilometers, Kim Il Sung got on the train at a small station next to Jilin Province.
Although Kim Il-sung was able to board the train smoothly, there were still a large number of Japanese agents on the train, who were searching the passengers one by one.
Kim Il Sung felt desperate, and only felt that "calling the heavens not working, calling the earth should not be." Therefore, once the documents on his body are searched, he is likely to be locked up in the heavily guarded Dalian Prison, and it may be difficult to see the light of day for the rest of his life.
(Japanese Kwantung Army stationed in Jilin)
And in this critical moment of dilemma, Kim Il Sung actually met Zhang Weihua on the train!
It turned out that since the departure of Jilin Province, Zhang Weihua could not rest assured that Kim Il Sung could not rest assured, and had been paying close attention to the news of the armed struggle in the Jilin region.
After Kim Il Sung's arrest, Jang Wei-hwa was so anxious that he repeatedly tried to go to Jilin to rescue him, but was unable to do so due to the high-pressure policy of the Japanese army.
After Kim Il Sung was released from prison, Zhang Weihua heard that he was active in the Jilin area, so he once again concealed his father and went to Jilin alone.
However, when Zhang Weihua arrived in Jilin, he found that the whole territory of Jilin was filled with white terror, and although he repeatedly asked people to inquire about the whereabouts of Kim Il-sung, most of the people did not dare to talk about it in detail.
Confused, Zhang Weihua spent several days in Jilin Province, but never got news of Kim Il Sung. In desperation, he decided to go to Shenyang to study first, and then make detailed plans.
However, fate was such a coincidence that the two people actually met on the train leaving Jilin.
Zhang Weihua knew that Kim Il-sung's situation was worrisome at this time, so he pulled him into his first-class box, and when there was no one around, Zhang Weihua said to Kim Il-sung: "I came to Jilin specifically to look for you on this trip, but I didn't expect that Jilin was so dangerous, and the North Koreans I knew were also missing, so I had to go to Shenyang first and then make plans." ”
Kim Il Sung looked at Zhang Weihua, whose appearance had hardly changed at all, and breathed a long sigh of relief, he did not expect that he could meet his best friend at the most dangerous moment!
(China during the White Terror)
By this time, the searches of the military and police had become more and more stringent, all the doors on the train were firmly locked, and many passengers were escorted to corners for interrogation.
However, because the passengers in the first-class carriages are either rich or expensive, the military and police agents do not dare to be more embarrassed, and the so-called search is just a formality. In this way, Kim Il Sung luckily escaped the disaster.
However, after the train arrived at Hailong Station, a large number of military police suddenly gathered outside the station gate, and many Japanese agents with lowered hats were guarding the ticket gate.
Zhang Weihua also felt very nervous for a while, and the situation instantly became difficult to control.
At this critical moment, Zhang Weihua's father, Zhang Wancheng, happened to pass by Hailong and planned to go to Yingkou to sell ginseng and other valuable medicinal materials, and on the way, he heard that his son was also going to Hailong, so he hired a golden and brilliant luxury carriage in advance, and also sent several bodyguards to accompany him.
The Japanese were intimidated by Zhang Wancheng's atmosphere and did not dare to embarrass Jang Wei-hwa and Kim Il-sung, who was accompanying them, and let them walk out of the station unscathed.
After a few days of recuperation at Hae-yong, Jang tried to persuade his father to help Kim Il-sung, and eventually, Jang Man-cheng personally came forward and hired a luxurious glass carriage to send Kim Il-sung to the Dunhua Forest Area.
When they met again in Ma On Shan, the dense forest parted ways and became a farewell forever
Kim Il Sung and Jang Wei-hwa met again in the height of summer in 1937. At that time, Kim Il Sung was leading his revolutionary armed forces in guerrilla warfare in Manchukuo, and he named this armed force the Korean People's Revolutionary Army.
(Korean People's Revolutionary Army)
He led his troops to Linjiang, Changchun, Yanji, Harbin and other places, and has grown into a commander of the revolutionary army fighting on the battlefield.
In July of that year, the situation of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army became more and more difficult, but Kim Il Sung still led his troops to fight the Japanese Kwantung Army in the Jilin Mountains, and in the critical situation of the enemy being outnumbered, Kim Il Sung led a large army to retreat to the Ma'an Mountains in Fusong.
However, conditions in the mountains of the northeast are very harsh. In the summer, heavy rain and mosquitoes are dense; in winter, the snow is flying, the weather is cold, and most of the soldiers do not even have cotton clothes for wintering, how to resist the low temperature of minus thirty or forty degrees?
In addition, the Japanese and The Kosovars imposed an economic blockade, and in order to cut off the supply of materials to the anti-Japanese organizations, they implemented the policy of "merging the big tuns". They gathered the scattered people together, and whenever anyone went out, not a handful of salt or a piece of cotton could be taken out.
Under these circumstances, Kim Il Sung's troops were gradually undersupplied, and food and ammunition were in a state of shortage.
In order to maintain the combat effectiveness of the warriors, Kim Il Sung plans to send people into the city secretly to ask for help from his friend Zhang Weihua, who has been separated from him for many years.
However, Kim Il Sung's idea was strongly opposed by the command. Zhang Weihua was considered a rich man and not a formal Communist Party member, and this move was likely to expose the revolutionary army's garrison.
However, Kim Il Sung suppressed everyone's opposition one by one, because he was very sure in his heart that Jang Wei-hwa would never betray him. After that, he sent people down the mountain to look for Zhang Weihua.
In fact, at this time, Zhang Weihua was no longer a weak scholar, he had already married and had children. On the surface, he runs a photo studio in Fucheng, but in fact, he has become an underground party member with revolutionary hearts.
Therefore, after receiving Kim Il-sung's request for help, Zhang Weihua did not say a word, immediately counted his belongings, and raised a large amount of money and materials.
After the materials were properly raised, the two agreed to meet at Miaoling. On the day of the meeting, Zhang Weihua was waiting for his close friend who had not been seen for many years, and the two were silent after meeting, hugging and crying.
Jang Il-hwa looked at Kim Il-sung and blamed him for not hearing from him for so many years, making himself very worried, and Kim Il-sung would give Jang Wei-hwa his combat experience over the past few years.
After listening, Zhang Weihua burst into tears and couldn't help but say emotionally: "Your life is too miserable, when I think of your experience so hard, I can't help but want to cry, as a revolutionary, but I have not been able to fight with you, my heart is very ashamed!" ”
This time, the two people chatted for more than three hours, until the sunset was tilted to the west, and when the conversation was about to end, Zhang Weihua suddenly asked about the situation of Kim Il Sung's family.
Kim Il Sung sighed and said: His parents died of illness one after another, and his own brother was unfortunately killed in a battle. Zhang Weihua listened and burst into tears again.
(Fusong County)
Since then, Zhang Weihua has used the grocery stores, photo studios and other places he opened as a cover to secretly provide food and other military supplies to Kim Il Sung's troops stationed in Ma On Shan on many occasions.
In addition, Zhang Weihua also took out 3,000 yuan to buy medicines and other daily necessities, and personally brought these materials to Ma'anshan regardless of personal safety to help the Korean People's Revolutionary Army survive the cold winter.
About half a month later, Kim Il Sung and Jang Wei-hwa had another long meeting, but what neither of them expected was that this meeting turned out to be the last of the two.
At that time, Kim Il Sung chose the place to meet on the outskirts of the headquarters, where there were many naturally formed large hot springs, and the two soaked together for seven days, during which they were even more open-minded and talked about everything.
On the occasion of parting, Jang Wei-hwa applied to join the Korean Revolutionary Army. But Kim Il Sung refused this request, and he helped Zhang Weihua and said patiently: "You are the head of the Fusong underground organization, and with you in the rear to support us, it is much greater than our role in killing the Japanese army on the battlefield!" ”
Zhang Weihua saw that his wish could not be achieved, so he recommended the 3 organizational backbones around him to Kim Il Sung, and when the 3 young people stood in front of Zhang Weihua in military uniforms, although he was envious, he knew that the task on his shoulders was also very heavy...
Jang Wei-hwa gave up his order to take poison to protect Kim Il-sung
In the late autumn of that year, the Kwantung Army's encirclement and suppression of the Korean Revolutionary Army continued to increase, and Kim Il Sung had not seen Jang Wei-hwa for several months.
Worried about Zhang Weihua's safety, Kim Il Sung sent a traffic officer to inquire about the intelligence, but strangely, the traffic officer found that Zhang Weihua's photo studio and grocery store were not open, and Zhang Weihua's whereabouts became a mystery.
(Zhang Weihua tasted torture)
After receiving this news, the impatient Kim Il Sung did not get a good night's sleep for several days. Until seven days later, the traffic officer brought a news that made Kim Il Sung grief-stricken: Jang Wei-hwa was arrested and imprisoned!
The traitor who betrayed Jang Washi was None other than Jeong Joo-hae, who studied with Kim Il Sung in his early years and later became an activist in the underground.
However, Zheng Xuehai coveted money and could not resist the temptation of the enemy to betray the organization. Zhang Weihua didn't know anything about this at the time, and he was kind by nature, and he trusted the comrades around him very much.
One day, Zheng Xuehai designed to ask Zhang Weihua: "I haven't seen Kim Il Sung's team for a long time, and I haven't seen some news recently, I don't know when I can see it?" ”
Zhang Weihua did not know Zheng Xuehai's plot and tricks, and blurted out: "Not a few days ago, I also reminisced with Commander Jin!" ”
Zheng Xuehai quickly leaked this information to the Japanese Kwantung Army, and late that night, hundreds of Japanese gendarmes surrounded the Zhang family on three levels and three layers outside.
Arrested and imprisoned, Zhang Weihua was tortured inhumanly, but he never leaked any information about Kim Il Sung's whereabouts to the Japanese army, and gritted his teeth and endured one torture after another.
But Zhang Weihua was an underground worker after all, not as physically strong as a soldier, so after a few days of torture, he fainted in prison and was in danger for a while.
Knowing that his son had been tortured in prison, Zhang Weihua's father, Zhang Wancheng, went around dotting and scattering the family's wealth, and finally took Zhang Weihua home through the name of "medical parole".
However, the Japanese army was vicious, and although Zhang Weihua was taken home, the Zhangjia compound was surrounded by passers-by pretending to be Japanese troops and Japanese puppet troops, who actually deliberately released Zhang Weihua from prison in order to take the opportunity to lure out Kim Il Sung.
(Japanese Puppet Army)
When he learned that his brother had been arrested and tortured, Kim Il-sung was so anxious that he couldn't think of a way to get the best of both worlds.
Just as he was desperately preparing to forcibly attack the county town as his brother, a message that made him thunder came from the bottom of the mountain - Zhang Weihua had committed suicide!
Shocked by the bad news, Kim Il Sung almost had a split liver and gallbladder, and he was in pain. A few days later, Jang Wei-hwa's father secretly sent his son's suicide note to Kim Il Sung, and seeing this brief suicide note, Kim Il Sung burst into tears again:
Sung-joo (Kim Il-sung's nickname): The enemy sent spies to secretly reconnoiter the headquarters of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army. Please move the headquarters quickly! Zhang Weihua is brilliant.
In fact, after Zhang Weihua was released from prison, he knew that he was a fierce dor, and the Japanese army released himself in order to lure out Kim Il Sung.
Even if Kim Il Sung did not come, the Japanese army would put him in prison again, he was afraid that he would not be able to continue to endure torture and confide in Kim Il Sung's news, and in order to completely cut off the Japanese army's idea of getting kim Il Sung news from his mouth, Jang Wei Hua decided to fight to the death.
So on the second day of October of that year, after writing his last suicide note, Zhang Weihua said bitterly to his wife: "Hate only hate that I was not able to hold a gun and fight against Japan with General Kim Il Sung to the end!" ”
At the end of the sentence, Zhang Weihua resolutely walked into the photo studio, drank the highly toxic mercury-containing developer, and sacrificed heroically! At this time, Zhang Weihua still had two children under his knees, his son Zhang Jinquan was only 4 years old, and his daughter Zhang Jinlu had just come to this world.
After learning the ins and outs of the matter, Kim Il Sung wept bitterly. He was full of guilt for Zhang Weihua, and this guilt was full of hatred for the Japanese army.
But he knew that the good brother of the past had been sacrificed, and only by adhering to his legacy and insisting on resisting Japan was the best consolation for Zhang Weihua...
Later, with the development of the war situation, Japan surrendered unconditionally, and Korea was liberated, and under the leadership of Kim Il Sung, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was established...
Kim Il Sung never forgot his old graces, and Jang Wei-hwa became a household name in North Korea
After the founding of the Joseon Dynasty, Kim Il Sung took care of every opportunity and took care of government affairs, but he still did not forget his close friend Jang Wei-hwa, who sacrificed himself to defend the Korean Revolutionary Army.
In 1959, Kim Il Sung sent a team led by Park Yong-chung, a member of the Party Central Committee, to northeast China.
Before leaving, Kim Il Sung specifically told Park Yong-cun: "Do you remember when we were in Fusong?" Zhang Weihua, the owner of the photo studio, sent us guns and medicines and food!
He has been dead for more than 20 years, but I have never comforted his family. When you arrive in Fusong, be sure to visit his wife and children and convey my greetings! ”
Without saying a word, Kim Il Sung's eyes were full of tears.
Kim Il Sung added: "Jang Wei-hwa is a Chinese, but he is no different from a Korean, no different from a Korean revolutionary. His achievements should not only be written in the annals of the Chinese communist movement, but also in the history of the anti-Japanese revolution on the mainland, he should also occupy a glorious page! ”
With the help of the Fusong government, Park Yong-cun, who led the way, soon found the whereabouts of Jang Weihua's descendants.
When Park Yongcun and his party appeared in the Zhang family, Zhang Weihua's wife could not help but cry bitterly: "More than twenty years have passed in the blink of an eye, and I did not expect that General Jin still remembered my husband." ”
After the mood stabilized slightly, Zhang Weihua's wife took out a photo, which was a group photo of Zhang Weihua and Kim Il Sung's brother.
She commissioned Park Yong-su to hand over the photo to Kim Il Sung as a tribute.
Kim Il Sung, who saw the photo, was distraught and immediately instructed that Jang's photo be displayed in the National Liberation War Museum for him to accept the respect of the Koreans.
(Korean National Liberation War Museum)
Kim Il Sung's orders quickly spread throughout North Korea, and governments at all levels in North Korea vigorously publicized the martyr Jang Wei-hwa, making him a well-known figure throughout Korea.
Fast forward, more than twenty years later, a high-end special train departed from North Korea, passed through northeast China, and headed for the Soviet Union, and Kim Il Sung was on this train to begin his journey to Europe.
The reason for passing through northeast China is Kim Il Sung's personal desire to take a fresh look at the land he has fought.
While passing through Jilin, Kim Il Sung suddenly said emotionally: "Fusong is only a few hundred miles away from here, and there are Zhang Weihua's widows there, so it is better to send them a little gift as a souvenir!" ”
At this time, Zhang Weihua's wife had died, and the gift was received by Zhang Weihua's eldest son, Zhang Jinquan, who sent a letter of thanks to Kim Il Sung.
Kim Il-sung, who received the letter, had the desire to meet Zhang Weihua's descendants.
The following year, Kim Il-sung's wish came true – in the Fairview Hill Council Hall in Pyongyang, Kim Il-sung met a pair of Jang Wei-hwa's sons and daughters!
"Welcome!" Kim Il Sung made an exception and said a word of Chinese, and Kim Il Sung opened his arms and hugged Zhang Jinquan's brothers and sisters tightly.
"We're all family, and we don't need any toasts. Come, for everyone's health, for the friendship between China and North Korea, cheers! ”
On this day, Kim Il Sung also made an exception and drank a lot of wine.
During a few days of visits to North Korea, Zhang Jinquan's brothers and sisters were surprised to find that Zhang Weihua was a well-known revolutionary hero in North Korea!
Half a month later, Kim Il Sung once again set up a banquet to bid farewell to the Zhang brothers and sisters who were about to return to China, which was a courtesy that foreign guests could hardly experience!
epilogue:
(Zhang Weihua Monument)
In his memoirs, Kim Il Sung recalls: "Only when the living do not forget the dead, their friendship is solid, sincere and eternal." I believe that the often recalling of the deceased, widely publicizing their deeds, taking careful care of their descendants, and faithfully inheriting their legacy are the gratitude of the living to the previous generation, to the martyrs, to the deceased revolutionary comrades. Without this morality, there can be no true inheritance of history and tradition. ”
And the life-and-death friendship between Kim Il Sung and Jang Wei-hwa will forever be engraved on the monument symbolizing the friendship between China and North Korea!
