The deeds of Huang Jiguang, a special combat hero of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army, must be familiar to everyone. What is less known is that the body of hero Huang Jiguang was recovered by three female hygienists of the volunteer army, one of whom turned out to be the prototype of the heroic female hygienist Wang Lan in the movie "Shangganling".
On October 14, 1952, the famous "Shangganling" Campaign began, and the Chinese Volunteer Army and the "United Nations Army" led by the United States both invested a large number of troops, and the intensity of the battle had long exceeded that of World War II. The sixth company of a certain unit of Huang Jiguang's volunteer army was ordered to retake positions Zero and Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth, and the fighting was extremely fierce, and the positions changed hands several times. Under the tenacious charge of our volunteer soldiers, three of the four positions have been conquered, leaving only the last and the most tenacious defensive one.
At this time, there were only less than twenty soldiers left in the sixth company, including Huang Jiguang.
Huang Jiguang took the initiative to ask for help, took the warriors Wu Sanyang and Xiao Dengliang carrying explosives packs, and used the terrain cover to quickly approach the enemy's bunker. "Boom", after three loud noises, the enemy's three bunkers were blown up into the sky. But before Huang Jiguang could ease up, a fierce tongue of fire attacked them again, unfortunately, the warrior Wu Sanyang was killed on the spot, and Xiao Dengliang was also hit by machine gun bullets and lost the ability to fight.
Huang Jiguang's thigh was also hit by a bullet, and the pain was unbearable, but he did not flinch, holding the explosive package and climbing step by step to the largest remaining bunker. Huang Jiguang threw a grenade at the bunker, but only blew off a corner of his head, and the bunker was still fiercely spewing tongues of fire. Huang Jiguang crawled along the enemy's machine gun position, then propped himself up and pounced, blocking the enemy's machine gun eye with his chest...
Throughout the Battle of Shangganling, the "United Nations Army" threw in aircraft, artillery and other heavy firepower, and the density of ammunition poured down far exceeded that of the Second World War, and many hills were flattened, but in the face of our heroic volunteer army, the "United Nations Army" never took advantage of half of the advantage, and the two sides began to enter a tug-of-war.
Huang Jiguang was sacrificed, and the warriors were devastated, and several times they had to risk recovering the hero's body, but they failed.
A few days later, between a battle, three female hygienists Wang Qingzhen, Guan Yizhi, He Chengjuan, and another male soldier who did not know their names, using the cover of gunfire and smoke, carefully crawled forward, slowly approaching the enemy bunker that had been blown up. The four men quietly flipped Huang Jiguang's body over from the enemy's machine gun hole and quickly dragged it back to our position.
When they returned to the position, several people really saw Huang Jiguang's body clearly, and tears couldn't stop gushing out. I saw that Huang Jiguang's body was already very stiff, his chest had been torn apart by machine gun bullets, revealing a large blood hole, his muscles were turned outward, mixed with blood and military uniforms were tightly glued together, and he couldn't take it off.
Wang Qingzhen wiped the blood stains on Huang Jiguang's face with warm water with tears in his eyes, and then soaked the clothes stained with blood before taking off Huang Jiguang's military uniform. At this moment, another difficult problem crossed Wang Qingzhen's eyes, and Huang Jiguang still maintained a posture of holding his hands high, and he couldn't put it down. Wang Qingzhen and the soldiers thought of a way: set up a fire next to Huang Jiguang's body, hang a gasoline barrel to boil hot water, and wipe Huang Jiguang's stiff arm with a towel dipped in hot water. Several female soldiers took turns wiping for three days, and finally wiped Huang Jiguang's arms a little softer and flattened, before giving Huang Jiguang a brand new Chinese volunteer uniform.
Subsequently, the soldiers put Huang Jiguang's body into a coffin and transported it back to the motherland.
In 1951, Wang Qingzhen, who had just turned 15, followed the third batch of volunteer troops into The Dprk to the Korean battlefield and became a hygienist. On the battlefield, Wang Qingzhen worked conscientiously, braved hardships, and fulfilled the duties of a medical worker very well: in the ice and snow, she opened her heart and put the frozen feet of the seriously injured into the arms of her young girl; the seriously injured could not chew the food, she personally chewed it, and then fed the seriously injured bite by bite; what is even more valuable is that she let go of the unique restraint of the young girl and urinated with her mouth for the seriously injured...
In 1954, the playwright Lin Bin created the film script "Shangganling", and specially noted on the last page of the script: the heroic hygienist Wang Qingzhen is the prototype of Wang Lan.
