Health worker Wang Qingzhen: He used a mouth suction catheter to help seriously injured comrades urinate, and sorted out the remains of Huang Jiguang

In October 1950, the Chinese Volunteer Army crossed the Yalu River and rushed to Korea to fight against the "United Nations Army" led by the United States. In July 1953, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea officially ended, and countless martyrs sacrificed their precious lives for the peace of New China.

In 1956, Changchun Film Studio produced a war feature film called Shangganling. This film mainly tells the story of the eighth company of a certain unit of the Volunteer Army in the Battle of Shangganling, under the leadership of company commander Zhang Zhongfa, who held its position and finally won the victory.

"Shangganling" movie

There is such a bridge section in the movie "Shangganling", due to the tight fire blockade of the US army, the volunteer army had to hide in the dark and closed tunnel. For dozens of days, there was no water, no food, and the wounded who were seriously injured were in dire need of medical treatment.

In such a difficult environment, female hygienist Wang Lan emotionally sang a song "My Motherland" in the tunnel to cheer up the soldiers.

In fact, the character of Wang Lan has a real historical prototype, and her prototype is a female hygienist named Wang Qingzhen. After the sacrifice of "special hero" Huang Jiguang, it was also Wang Qingzhen who sorted out his body.

So, in Wang Qingzhen's body, what other untold stories are there?

Wang Qingzhen was born in Wuhan, Hubei Province in 1936, with his ancestral home in Beijing. Because Wang Qingzhen's father was a railway worker, he needed to work from place to place. In 1950, the father and daughter came to Live in Weining, Guizhou.

Although the whole country had been liberated at that time, there were still small groups of remnants of bandits in the remote mountainous areas of the southwest. One of the bandit leaders took a fancy to Wang Qingzhen and wanted to take her as a concubine.

At this time, the 45th Division of the 15th Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, under the command of commander Qin Jiwei, advanced into Weining, Guizhou, eliminated the remnants of the Kuomintang and bandits entrenched here, and saved Wang Qingzhen and other toiling masses in time.

Wang Qingzhen saw that the People's Liberation Army had strict military discipline, had no offenses with the local people, and had the grace to save her life, so she and her father discussed that she wanted to join the army. But Wang Qingzhen's father did not agree, and the older generation thought that

The army is full of men, and it is not certain when it will be a matter of time. How can a daughter's family suffer this pain?

It just so happened that at that time, the propaganda team of the 45th Division had several teenage girls, similar to Wang Qingzhen's age. In their free time, the little girls of the propaganda team exchanged and played with Wang Qingzhen and soon became good friends.

During the conversation, Wang Qingzhen learned that the Logistics Department Hospital of the 45th Division was short of female nurses to take care of the wounded and sick. Wang Qingzhen went home to discuss with her father, saying that she could join the 45th Division Logistics Department Hospital to help take care of the wounded. After much persuasion, the father nodded in agreement.

But when he actually joined the army, because Wang Qingzhen was too young and relatively weak, he was politely rejected by the staff of the recruitment office. In a hurry, Wang Qingzhen's father said

"If you don't take my daughter away, maybe she will be robbed by other bandits to be a little wife next time." ”

When the staff of the recruitment office heard this, they hesitated, so they said that they needed to discuss it with their superiors. Finally, with the consent of the superior leaders, Wang Qingzhen officially became a hygienist in the logistics department hospital of the 45th Division.

In November 1950, the 15th Army went to Hebei for rest and training, and in March 1951, it entered the Korean War. As the main force of the 15th Army, when the soldiers heard that they were going to fight in Korea, they shook their fists one by one and wrote down a letter of guarantee to strike hard at the US army and never fail to live up to the expectations of the party and the people.

Wang Qingzhen was affected by everyone's emotions, and she also wanted to fight in the DPRK and make her own contribution to the country as much as possible. The leaders of the troops considered that Wang Qingzhen was a little girl with a thin body, so they asked her to stay in the rear.

Wang Qingzhen was not happy, she said to the leader

"Why did everyone else go to North Korea and leave me alone in the rear?" My parents handed me over to the troops, and I followed them wherever they went. ”

To this end, Wang Qingzhen also cut off a hair and dressed herself as a male soldier. Under Wang Qingzhen's soft and hard bubble, the leader of the army agreed to let her follow the large army to North Korea.

After coming to Korea, Wang Qingzhen became a hygienist at the rear hospital of the 45th Division of the Volunteer Army and participated in the Battle of Shangganling, which broke out in October 1952.

In October 1952, the temperature in the Shangganling area plummeted to minus 30 degrees Celsius, and the "United Nations Army" and the Volunteer Army fought a head-on battle for the Shangganling area.

The "United Nations Army" led by the US military

Mobilized more than 60,000 troops, more than 300 artillery pieces, more than 170 tanks, and more than 3,000 aircraft sorties.

To the Volunteer Army

Two companies launched an onslaught at the Shangganling position, which was about 3.7 square kilometers of defense

My volunteers resisted desperately,

Positions were lost and regained many times. In the Shangganling position alone, the "United Nations Army" led by the US army is there

Fired more than 1.9 million shells, more than 5,000 bombs,

The intensity is rare before. In particular, the density of artillery firepower has exceeded the highest level of World War II

In such a fierce and dangerous battlefield, Wang Qingzhen, as a hygienist, also disregarded the rain of guns and bullets, and carried his wounded comrades back into tunnels or other hidden places again and again.

70 years later, Wang Qingzhen still clearly remembers that there was a wounded volunteer who needed to saw off his right leg, and when he saw that Wang Qingzhen was young, he asked her if she was afraid or not. Wang Qingzhen replied immediately

"You are not afraid of me and I am not afraid. ”

The wounded man endured the pain and continued, "Sing me a song." Wang Qingzhen then sang the northern Shaanxi folk song "Nanniwan".

Later, Wang Qingzhen cooperated with the doctor to operate on the injured man. However, because the conditions for rescue on the battlefield were too simple, the wounded volunteer eventually died of excessive blood loss. Wang Qingzhen was very sad at that time, and tears fell like rain.

When the Battle of Shangganling was in full swing, the wounded were constantly being carried to the shelters on the front line. At the hardest time, Wang Qingzhen had to take care of more than 20 seriously injured people alone. Every day

Feeding, changing dressing, washing bandages, and carrying the injured person out of the hole to relieve defecation.

Late one night in early November 1951, a volunteer platoon leader was shot in the abdomen and was urgently carried off the front line. One night, Wang Qingzhen was there

While touring, I suddenly heard a soft and heavy "Ouch" sound coming from a hole.

Wang Qingzhen hurriedly followed the sound and found that it was the platoon leader who had been shot in the abdomen who was moaning. Wang Qingzhen saw that the platoon leader was sweating profusely and his face was very bad, so he was anxious to inquire.

Finally, he learned that the platoon leader wanted to urinate, so Wang Qingzhen helped him bring a can box. But the platoon leader didn't pee out.

The sharp pain of the wound made him scream again: "Ouch! ”

Wang Qingzhen understood that he was

Due to the bullet in the abdomen, the urinary system was seriously injured, and he could not control the bowel movements by himself. Seeing that the platoon was covered with tears, Wang Qingzhen touched his abdomen and found that they were all swollen very high. She understood that if she could no longer defecate, the platoon leader could lead to urinary poisoning or even a distended bladder.

In a critical moment, Wang Qingzhen leaned down and sucked on the catheter with her mouth, eventually helping him urinate smoothly. The platoon leader was moved to tears and said to Wang Qingzhen:

"You're more dear than my sister."

In this way, a group of girls about the same age as Wang Qingzhen abandoned the so-called face and conservatism, and used various methods to treat the wounded.

For example, some wounded and sick people were thirsty at night and wanted to drink water, so Wang Qingzhen and other female hygienists put the snow in their mouths and fed it into the mouths of their comrades one by one. He put their frozen feet and put his hands into his arms to cover the heat.

When it was the coldest, the wounded had nothing else to cover, and Wang Qingzhen used the clothes as a quilt to cover the wounded, but she was frozen.

In the days and nights of war, countless female hygienists like Wang Qingzhen used the unique tenderness of women to soothe the hearts of wounded soldiers, convey hope to them, and convey confidence in victory.

What makes Wang Qingzhen most memorable is that she helped Huang Jiguang, a special hero of the Volunteer Army, sort out the body.

Before dawn on October 20, 1952, on the sixth day of the Battle of Shangganling, the 2nd Battalion 6 of the 153rd Regiment of the 15th Army of the Volunteer Army was connected to the superiors and ordered that the 597.9 Heights must be retaken before dawn.

The U.S. military built a bunker here, and a tongue of fire erupted from the bunker. At that time, there were only three soldiers left in the 6th Company, namely the company commander and the instructor and communicator Huang Jiguang. The superiors had given a deadly order to retake the position at all costs.

In order to reduce casualties and pave the way for his comrades to advance, Huang Jiguang stepped forward and rushed to the enemy's bunker.

Subsequently, Huang Jiguang pounced on the firing hole of the bunker to continuously shoot bullets, blocking the enemy's machine gun muzzle with his chest, and winning valuable time for the follow-up troops to take the position.

After the battle, the comrades found Huang Jiguang lying tightly on the bunker, the bullet piercing his body, leaving a hole the size of a bowl on his back.

On the third day after Huang Jiguang's sacrifice, the hero's body was transported to the rear health center.

At that time, the Volunteer Army and the "United Nations Army" were engaged in a fierce tug-of-war, and it was very difficult to bring back the remains of the martyrs.

It was Wang Qingzhen, He Chengjuan, and Guan Yizhi, the three female nurses, and another male soldier who risked their lives to remove the hero's body from the machine gun hole of the enemy's broken bunker, and finally to a dilapidated bungalow in the pine forest next to the tunnel of the health center.

According to Wang Qingzhen's recollection, because of the low temperature at that time, Huang Jiguang's body was completely frozen. But he still maintained the fighting posture of his life, his eyes were wide open, and his hands were held high.

Huang Jiguang's chest had been broken, and the blood and water combined with the low temperature had made his clothes stick tightly to his skin. Wang Qingzhen and others wanted to take off Huang Jiguang's blood clothes, but they couldn't take them off.

In the end, I had to use warm water to soak it first, and then use scissors to cut off the military uniform on Huang Jiguang's body piece by piece. Dipping the cloth in water, carefully cleaned the hero's body.

After cleaning up, everyone was ready to put on a new military uniform for Huang Jiguang. Because the temperature was too cold, Huang Jiguang's body held high with his hands was frozen, and everyone cried when they saw this posture.

At this time another male soldier came up with an idea, he boiled water in a gasoline bucket, and then several people took turns dipping towels in hot water to cover the hero's body.

After more than two hours, Huang Jiguang's body gradually softened, and his limbs could be twisted, and everyone changed the hero into a new military uniform.

Whenever she recalled this incident, Wang Qingzhen always cried silently

。 "Huang Jiguang's heroic posture, unforgettable, forever lingering, can always give him the strength to fight in grief."

This is a sentence that Wang Qingzhen often says to others.

In October 1953, the 17-year-old Wang Qingzhen harvested love. She and Liu Huanjie, the head of the medical administration unit of the 45th Division, were married under the mediation of the hospital's political commissar. With the approval of the superiors, a simple wedding was held on October 25, 1953, the commemoration of the third anniversary of the Volunteer Army's entry into the Korean War.

Less than two months after the marriage, Wang Qingzhen and her husband returned home from North Korea. Because Wang Qingzhen had made outstanding achievements in entering the korean war, the 45th Division reported him a third-class merit once. After the leaders of the military department learned about the situation, they changed Wang Qingzhen to second-class merit.

Qin Jiwei later recalled

Upper Ganling

When describing the battle scene, Wang Qingzhen was evaluated:

In order to relieve the pain of comrades-in-arms and help the wounded urinate, the nobility of sentiment is awe-inspiring...

In 1965, at the age of 29, Wang Qingzhen retired from the army. In 1966, due to the needs of the army, she joined the army for the second time and became a staff member of the Health Department of the 15th Army of the People's Liberation Army. This is another 16 years.

In 1982, Wang Qingzhen retired from the post of deputy director of the 15th Army Health Department. Now 85 years old, she lives in the Xiaogan Dry Rest House of Hubei Provincial Military Region and wishes her well-being in her old age!
