One of the most surprising things was that a Chinese staff officer single-handedly drank 17 Russian generals, which provided great help to the new China to introduce Su 27, after all, the Russians were good at it.
After the founding of New China, the planes on the founding ceremony were even forced to "make up the numbers" through airplanes, let alone build airplanes, and China could not buy airplanes at that time. In 1989, after the relaxation of Sino-Soviet relations, at the suggestion of the Soviet side, China prepared to go to the Soviet Union to buy the MiG-29, which was very advanced for the new China at that time. The main person in charge of the task of going to the Soviet Union to buy an airplane was named Lin Hu, the only "white" general in New China, of mixed Chinese and Russian descent. Lieutenant General Lin Hu was always a staunch communist in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, and made great contributions to the liberation of New China. Later, in the Korean War, General Lin Hu also flew down American warplanes and established very good relations with many supporters on the Soviet side at that time. At the founding ceremony, General Lin Hu also personally flew an airplane over Tiananmen Square.
Therefore, when the Central Committee decided to send people to the Soviet Union to buy aircraft, General Lin Hu was almost the only choice, and no one could be found better than him in any way. Before setting out, General Lin Hu ordered that the most able drinker be selected in the army to follow him, and to ensure that he was not drunk. In the end, a large colonel staff officer was found under the choice of thousands of people, who did not leave a name, but played a very important role later. Why did General Lin Hu have to bring a retinue who was not drunk? Because his mother was Russian, he lived in the northeast when he was young, and he knew too well the russian nature, and he drank too much to say anything.
Although the Soviet Union was only willing to sell the MiG-29 to China at that time, in fact the Soviet economy had collapsed and it was in great need of foreign exchange.
After very difficult negotiations, China finally finalized the MiG-31, which was slightly more advanced than the MiG-29, and signed a contract with the Mikoyan Design Bureau to sell a total of 48 MiG-31 fighter jets to China.
If there were no accidents at this point, General Lin Hu could only return with such a barely satisfactory order. But this is when the accident happens, and there is more than one accident.
At the wine table, a Soviet officer who had a comradeship with General Lin Hu on the Korean battlefield was drunk and privately revealed to General Lin Hu that the Soviet Union had a more advanced "blue lightning", and if you want to buy it, you can buy the "blue lightning", that is, the later Su-27 fighter. This drunken remark soon attracted great attention from the Chinese side, and tentatively asked the Soviet side about the relevant situation of the Soviet 27. The Soviet Union, of course, was reluctant to sell it and categorically denied that there was such an airplane.
As a result, the second accident occurred, the MiG fighter crashed during the test flight the next day, crashing in front of the Chinese personnel, you can imagine the face of the Chinese side at that time. Who would dare to buy this kind of thing back as the main fighter?
After this crash, the Soviet Sukhoi Design Bureau, which was already at the end of the road, ventured into private contact with General Lin Hu, revealed the situation of the Su-27, and took out the details of the Su-27 on the spot. The Chinese side immediately changed its mind, preferring to break the contract and buy the Su-27, and resolutely refused to retain the Mikoyan Design Bureau, which had already signed the contract.
In fact, the Sukhoi Design Bureau was also forced to have no way, when the Soviet economy had collapsed, they could not afford to buy the Su 27 they designed, at this time the Design Bureau was about to face closure, and could only risk taking a head to fight.
I have to say that no matter which country has a group of hot-blooded people, for the sake of collective interests do not care about individual gains and losses, in order to save the design bureau is already playing for their lives. After painstaking negotiations, the Soviet top brass theoretically agreed to the plan to sell the Su-27, but they felt that It was impossible for Chinese technology to study the Su-27 thoroughly, so they did not think deeply at all.
But even if it agreed, there was still a big problem, the Soviet 27 was not only unaffordable in the Soviet Union, but also in New China, and this price had to be pressed down on the wine table.
At this critical moment, the "wine immortal" that General Lin Hu insisted on bringing with him appeared. The colonel, who was rumored to be a staff officer, did not leave a name, but according to the Russians' description of being thin and weak, did not take him seriously at first. The two sides negotiated the price at the wine table, coupled with the blood relationship and comradeship between General Lin Hu and Russia, and began to drink step by step.
It didn't matter, the 17 Russian generals who drank on the spot at once were all carried out.
The Soviets were dumbfounded, this drinking can still meet such a fierce, they really have not seen. It should be known that the per capita alcohol consumption of Russians is more than three times that of China, and the soldiers can drink medical alcohol with water as wine, and the number of people who die of drunkenness every year is frightening. But in this way, he was still drunk by this unsung hero.
Drinking alcohol is not a good thing, but there is no doubt that this drinking is too important for new China.
According to the memories of the Soviets involved in this matter, the Su 27 was finally set at a surprisingly low price at the wine table, and a 30% discount was directly discounted. And the Chinese side only needs to pay 30% of the cash, and the rest can be traded in the form of barter, which is often referred to as "dog skin coat" for the plane.
At that time, however, many dogs sacrificed their lives for the first Su-27 in New China, and they can also be said to be unsung "heroes".
In this whole incident, General Lin Hu, the "wine immortal" who can drink, and many accidents are indispensable, and can only be said to bless China. Without the introduction of the Su-27, China's "J-20" does not know how many years later.
