Especially after Hong Tianfugui withdrew from Nanjing, due to the continuous fighting with the Qing army on the road, the entire army was in chaos, and eventually Hong Tianfugui and the army were separated, and Hong Tianfugui, who left the protection of the army, was completely in a desperate situation.
Because of his upbringing, Hong Tianfugui could not find any job to support himself, and finally could only beg along the street.
As a result, because he did not take off the silver lock symbolizing his identity when begging, and Hong Tianfugui actually begged the officers and men of the Qing Army, was this not his own sending himself into the tiger's mouth.
After the Qing army caught him, they even doubted whether this person who was even difficult to survive, and could not distinguish between horses and mules, was the real Hong Tianfugui.
In the end, after the confirmation of the surrendered generals of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the identity of Hong Tianfugui was determined.
Surviving from torture, ten confessions
