In addition to new car deliveries, Porsche China also achieved solid growth in its aftermarket and related businesses. In 2021, the penetration rate of Porsche Financial Services has exceeded 50%, and the number of contracts is more than 47,000. Porsche approved the volume of pre-owned cars totaling 7,501 units for the year, up 54% year-on-year. Global market demand remains strong
Porsche's deliveries increased in all sales locations worldwide. Growth was particularly prominent in the U.S. market, which increased 22% year-over-year, with 70,025 new vehicles delivered. Across the Americas, Porsche delivered 84,657 new vehicles, up 22% year-on-year. Total deliveries in Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East were 131,098 units, an 8% increase over 2020.
Demand in Germany's home market also rose, with a total of 28,565 new vehicles delivered in 2021, up 9% year-on-year. In Europe, Porsche delivered new vehicles to 86,160 customers, an increase of 7% year-on-year. The high proportion of electric models is particularly noteworthy. In 2021, around 40% of all Porsche sports cars delivered in Europe will be pure electric or plug-in hybrids.
