Demand for the Taycan remains high, with deliveries totaling 7,315 units. The share of new vehicle deliveries for Porsche's pure electric and plug-in hybrid models increased significantly in 2021, accounting for 18%.

  In addition to new car deliveries, Porsche China also achieved solid growth in its aftermarket and related businesses. In 2021, the penetration rate of Porsche Financial Services has exceeded 50%, and the number of contracts is more than 47,000. Porsche approved the volume of pre-owned cars totaling 7,501 units for the year, up 54% year-on-year. Of these, 2,314 units were ordered online, accounting for more than 30% of total retail sales, which also confirms that Porsche China is steadily advancing its digitalization of the sales level.

Global market demand remains strong

  Porsche's deliveries increased in all sales locations worldwide. Growth was particularly prominent in the U.S. market, which increased 22% year-over-year, with 70,025 new vehicles delivered. Across the Americas, Porsche delivered 84,657 new vehicles, up 22% year-on-year. Total deliveries in Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East were 131,098 units, an 8% increase over 2020.

  Demand in Germany's home market also rose, with a total of 28,565 new vehicles delivered in 2021, up 9% year-on-year. In Europe, Porsche delivered new vehicles to 86,160 customers, an increase of 7% year-on-year. The high proportion of electric models is particularly noteworthy. In 2021, around 40% of all Porsche sports cars delivered in Europe will be pure electric or plug-in hybrids.
