Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shu 8 large theater troupe dramas in the East, the "13th Oriental Famous Drama Month" will be held from March 11 to April 30, 13 stations and 17 high-quality plays will take turns.
From March 11th to 12th, the 13th Oriental Famous Opera Month will kick off with the new version of the Peking Opera "Tang Guifei" of Shanghai Peking Opera House, and the national first-class actors of Shanghai Peking Opera House, Shi Yihong, Li Jun, An Ping, Xi Zhonglu, Yang Donghu and other famous artists will jointly perform. The classic traditional drama "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang" and the classic folding drama "Lost • Empty , Chopping" will also be staged, and Fu Xiru, Gao Hongmei, Gao Mingbo and many other shanghai Peking Opera performing artists will all appear on stage.
The contemporary Kunqu opera "Spring River Flower Moon Night" brought by Zhang Jun, the "Prince of Kunqu Opera", will let the audience relive the contemporary extension of the aesthetics of opera. Coincidentally, in the Kunqu opera "1699 Peach Blossom Fan", the audience will meet with stage CP Shan Wen and Shi Xiaming from Kun, Jiangsu Province. This version was invited by the pioneering director Tian Qinxin in 2005, based on the original adaptation, the play integrates classical opera into the modern drama structure, the stage set integrates classical and modern elements, and the scene scheduling "both literature and martial arts" and other aspects of innovation, which has effectively innovated the development of traditional opera. The Shanghai Commentary Troupe will also bring the novella "Lin Huiyin" and the Pingtan Famous Artists Concert.
The burlesque play "Chen Yisheng's Eating Problem", which surprised the Shanghai audience during the "Art Goes Forward" exhibition, will return to the Shanghai stage. This burlesque play in Changzhou Mandarin tells the story of five eras, including 1970, 1978, 1986, 2006, 2018, in this nearly half-century time span, the whole drama revolves around the "funnel household" Chen Yisheng and his three children in various important historical periods related to land, food, food and food issues of hilarious and poignant stories. The whole drama is cut into the late Chen Yisheng, and constantly uses flashbacks to unfold the plot, and the irony of the plot and the conflict are mixed with tragedy and joy, which makes people laugh and cry.
Since the establishment of the Famous Drama Month, local dramas such as Huangmei Opera, Cantonese Opera, Yong Opera, Sichuan Opera, Nanyin, Qin Opera, Xinchang Tune, and even the "First Group under the Heavens" have become the "guests" of the Famous Drama Month. This time, the large-scale opera "Chengdu Family Book" in the Bashu region will be staged on April 26-27. The drama takes the entry of the Fifteenth Army into the DPRK in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea as the historical background, and tells the moving story of Sichuan boys who fought heroically in a foreign country and defended their families and defended their country through "family letters" and carried forward the feelings of their families and countries.
The Huangmei Drama Theater in Anhui Province will bring a number of winners of the Chinese drama "Plum Blossom Award", the government's "Wenhua Performance Award" winners and national first-class actors to present the two works of Huangmei Opera "Female Pony" and "Dream of the Red Chamber". Wu Suying and Wu Fenghua will lead the Shaoxing Xiaobaihuayue Opera Troupe's "Three Looks at the Royal Sister" and "Tanuki Cat for Prince" from April 29 to 30, which will close for this year's Famous Drama Month.
