Duan Linju (1937-2009) was a native of Xindi, Shanxi. A first-class actor, a famous opera performance artist, began to study art in 1950, entered the Shaanxi Provincial Academy of Opera in 1955, is familiar with the Qin cavity, Meido, bowl and bowl cavity, and has made achievements in classical and modern drama. The main repertoire of performances includes more than 50 plays, such as "Butcher Zhuangyuan", "Liu Qiao'er", "Famen Temple", "Qu Yuan", "Spring and Autumn Match", "Bai Yudian", "Jin Wanchao", "Love and Hate", "Erhu Shou Chang'an", "Two Bells" and so on. Together with Li Yingzhen, Ma Lanyu and Li Ruifang, he was known as the "Four Famous Dans" of the Shaanxi Provincial Opera Research Institute.
Among the many vivid and vivid artistic images created by Duan Linju, the "Dang Fengying" in "Butcher Zhuangyuan" can be said to be one of her artistic peaks. In the early 1980s, with the release of color films throughout the country, which triggered a strong response from audiences across the country, letters of praise poured in, including a letter from No. 16 Hongwei Street, Chengguan Town, Yingshan County, Hubei Province, written by a worker master named Shu Xilin, who praised Duan Linju's "Dang Fengying" and "comparable to the famous Huangmei opera actor Yan Fengying"!
