This enabled her to successfully "fight" to the Anhui Provincial Art School and "fight" to the Huangmei Opera team.
This summer, 13-year-old Wu Qiong, accompanied by her parents, came to the Anhui Provincial Art School and boarded a large open-top truck to welcome her new classmates.
She felt the feeling of happiness and freedom flying like the wind.
However, without a professional foundation, she has always been the object of criticism by teachers in her earliest learning time.
In particular, she still has flat feet, and when she "runs the round field" on the practice stage, she always runs not fast and is not beautiful.
But the criticism from the teacher, as well as the "backwardness of the business", did not make her feel depressed, nor did it prevent her from gaining another sense of accomplishment from loving labor and caring for the collective, until later, she heard different voices from several classmates, and she began to practice hard.
Wu Qiong has always been proud to be the class leader and love the collective, she thought that her classmates also looked at her, but a sentence "so fat, like a little pig, also come to sing?" One day in 1980, Wu Qiong accidentally heard Mr. Yan Fengying's "Three Years of Sun and Moon As Strong as Wine" at the entrance of the archive.

She was suddenly in tears and had a new direction of study.

In 2021, Wu Qiong once again appeared on the stage of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala.
On the stage, she performed the previous famous play - Huang Mei's play "Female Pony", which once again received countless applause and praise.
Prior to this, she had performed five times at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, and in the five years of 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993, she presented HuangYue duets, opera sketches, songs and other forms of performances.
In addition, Wu Qiong's figure has also been active on the stage of other Spring Festival Galas.
In 2021, Wu Qiong returned to the stage of the CCTV Spring Festival Opera Gala and performed the Huangmei opera "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai".
This is the fourth time that Wu Qiong has appeared at the CCTV Spring Festival Opera Gala since 2007, 2012 and 2013.
