Announcement on recent performance postponements

In accordance with the relevant requirements of the epidemic prevention and control work in Beijing, in order to ensure the health and safety of the majority of opera fans, the Northern Kunqu Opera Theater has decided after research that the performances of the Jixiang Grand Theater, Zhongshan Park Music Hall and Mei Lanfang Grand Theater will be postponed from May 1 to 8, 2022.

Northern Kunqu Opera Theatre
On 18 May 2001, the Kunqu opera, with a history of more than 600 years, was inscribed on UNESCO's first Representative List of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The Northern Kunqu Opera Theatre is the only professional Kunqu opera art performance group north of the Yangtze River, which was established on June 22, 1957, and the current director is the famous Kunqu performance artist Yang Fengyi.
