Seven Chinese cars will exit the Russian market in 2021

According to autostat, a Russian automotive industry analysis agency, in 2021, seven Chinese cars will withdraw from the Russian market.

According to analyst statistics, in 2021, a total of 21 models withdrew from the Russian market, of which 1/3 belonged to luxury cars and 2/3 belonged to ordinary models.

At the beginning of February 2021, Zotye Automobile stopped selling Zotye T600 and Zotye Coupa crossovers in Russia, and these two cars were removed from the shelves of Zotye's official website.

In May 2021, havtura assembly plant ended production of the Haval H5 off-road vehicle, making way for the production of the promising compact Haval Jolion. The Tula production plant in Russia started assembly of the Haval H5 off-road vehicle in April 2020. In 2020, the Haval H5 sold 2,052 units in Russia and 1,804 units in 2021.

In May 2021, Geely ended sales of the Emgrand X7 in Russia. In 2020, the Sales of the Geely Emgrand X7 in Russia was 2223 units, compared to only 546 in 2021.

In June 2021, another model of Chinese cars also left the Russian market: the S5 crossover assembled by Jianghuai Automobile's Kazakhstan.

Seven Chinese cars will exit the Russian market in 2021

In August 2021, China Foton Motor stopped selling family cars in Russia. Following the Foton Pioneer pickup truck, the Savannah SUV also withdrew from the Russian market.

In November 2021, Geely GS also disappeared from the lineup of Chinese brand cars sold in Russia.

In the first 11 months of 2021, Chinese automakers sold 103384 new cars in Russia, up 110% year-on-year.
