The new regulations on the management of "blue card light trucks" were officially released and will be fully implemented on September 1.
There is a half-year transition period for non-compliant products in production and inventory
The "Notice" requires that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will not announce new products that do not conform to the "Technical Specifications". For products in production that do not meet the requirements of the "Technical Specifications", from March 1, 2022, the production enterprise should immediately stop production; among them, the production of light trucks with a displacement greater than 2.5 liters but meets other requirements of this "Notice" is given a transition period of 6 months, and after the expiration of the transition period, the production enterprise shall immediately stop production.
For inventory products that have been produced and uploaded before March 1, 2022, but do not meet the requirements of the "Technical Specifications" of this Notice, the production enterprise may submit an application for inventory extension to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and attach the inventory list and the written materials of the production enterprise on the non-compliance of the "large ton small standard" and voluntarily bear the relevant legal responsibilities of the product, and after performing the relevant procedures such as verification and publicity, the 6-month extension of sales and registration period may be given. According to the specific situation of the progress of the special rectification action for road transport safety, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Public Security will revise and improve the "Technical Specifications" in due course.
