In 1927, in the face of the enemy's torture, sacrificed before the words were said. So why did he say such a thing? What kind of experience and faith made him extremely determined? It all has to start with the years he went through and what he experienced.
In 1898, Yang Mingong was born in a large family in a small town in Tongnan County, Chongqing, and because the people of the clan have always been more feudal in their thinking, Yang Mingong has received some traditional education like the Four Books and Five Classics since he was a child. However, with the increase of age and the broadening of horizons, coupled with the changes in the social situation at that time, the patriotic enthusiasm of the young Yang Mingong was slowly cultivated.

In order to devote himself to the cause of serving the country, in 1913, the 15-year-old Yang Mingong was admitted to the Jiangsu Officers' Teaching Corps with excellent results. Here Yang Mingong was influenced by Sun Yat-sen and the League, and strengthened his heart to save the country. Later, yang Mingong came to Japan in 1917 to study in order to improve his military talents. However, not long after arriving in Japan, he was imprisoned by the Japanese government on the grounds of "supporting the Domestic May Fourth Movement", and it was not until the autumn of 1920 that Yang Mingong returned to China.
Yang Mingong, who had just returned to China, had not yet had time to rest, so he hurried to start Marxist propaganda in Chongqing, which showed how urgent his desire to save the country was. At the beginning of 1924, Yang Mingong, Wu Yuzhang, and others who joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League formally established the Chinese Youth Communist Party in Chengdu. In 1925, Yang Mingong joined the Communist Party of China, and when he first joined the Communist Party, he and Wu Yuzhang and others were given the task of rectifying and rectifying the Kuomintang organization in Sichuan, so as to realize the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in Sichuan Province. In October of the same year, Yang Mingong was elected secretary of the Sichuan Local Committee of the Communist Party of China.
On March 31, 1927, the Sichuan Local Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to hold a revolutionary mass meeting in Dagunba, Chongqing. The main contents of the meeting were: protesting the crimes of imperialism in shelling Nanjing, supporting the Northern Expedition, and opposing the traitorous acts of Chiang Kai-shek's dictatorship and the Sichuan warlord Liu Xiang.
In fact, before the meeting, Yang Mingong had already realized that there might be danger on the day of the meeting, but he would definitely not cancel the meeting because of the danger, and he must expose to the world the atrocities committed by Chiang Kai-shek and the reactionary warlords, and vow to fight the reactionaries to the end.
On the day of the meeting, Yang Mingong got up very early, and before leaving, he said to his wife: "Hold a citizens' meeting, I will go to preside over the meeting!" Seeing her 1-and-a-half-year-old daughter Chihua, Yang Mingong hugged her and said
"Lao Tzu is dead, you give me revenge!" ”
Finally he kissed his son, who had just reached the full moon, said communism
"You're still asleep in a hazy state, Lao Tzu is gone, can you see you again?" ”
Finally, he instructed his wife to go to the Women's Federation as soon as possible, and if there was any situation during the meeting, she should make preparations immediately. After arranging everything, Yang Mingong came to the venue with the mentality of seeing death as a homecoming.
Sure enough, as Yang Mingong expected, there was no accident at the meeting venue on the same day. However, what Yang Mingong did not expect was that the enemy would be so terrifying. On that day, Chiang Kai-shek ordered the warlords Liu Xiang, Lan Wenbin, and others to collude with imperialism to carry out a frenzied massacre of the revolutionary masses attending the meeting. This massacre, which was later known as the "March 31 Massacre", also slowly opened the prelude to the "April 12 counter-revolutionary coup".

On that day, the scene was very chaotic, and countless people died tragically under the enemy's knives and guns. In such a situation, Yang Mingong had to find the right time to escape with some of the masses over the wall. Because the enemy was in hot pursuit, Yang Mingong could only hide in a poor family. Seeing that the enemy was catching up, Yang Mingong hid under the farmer's bed and used his hands and feet to hold the bed frame and let himself hang under the bed board. In this way, Yang Mingong escaped a disaster.

However, he was still worried about the safety of his family and comrades, so he returned home early the next morning. After settling down with his family, he also took out the list of organizational meetings and some confidential documents from the party that he had hidden in advance, and hid them around him. Then he began to find ways to contact the comrades of the organization in order to arrange the aftermath of the meeting.
After gathering the comrades, on the evening of April 1, Yang Mingong and everyone studied the aftermath and decided to ask the Party Central Committee in Wuhan for instructions on the next step. At the same time, the reactionaries were still arresting revolutionaries outside, and their relatives urged Yang Mingong to go out and take shelter, but Yang Mingong cried and said
"The enemy is so brutal, the masses have died so tragically, and the revolution cannot stop for a moment, how can I take care of my personal safety?!" ”
From Yang Mingong's words, we can fully see that he is not only not afraid of life and death, but also has a determination to revolutionize to the end.
Later, he collected the confidential documents and prepared to go to Wuhan to explain the situation to the Party Central Committee and participated in the Fifth National Congress of the Party. However, on April 2, Yang Mingong had just boarded the ship to Wuhan and found himself being followed by secret agents, so he had to get off the ship to make other plans for safety. A day later, Yang Mingong boarded another ferry to Wuhan with his wife, accompanied by a Communist Party member. However, it is hateful that Yang Mingong's whereabouts were informed by the traitor Du Bingyu of the reactionaries, and early in the morning of April 4, Yang Mingong's boat was stopped by the enemy on the river.
After the agents got on the ship, they quickly found Yang Mingong and his wife, and when they saw the agent walking forward, Yang Mingong did not have the slightest fear, and he took out the confidential document and ate it unhurriedly. The agent came up to him and asked him
"Are you Yang Mingong?" Yang Mingong said calmly, "I am, what about you?" ”

Hearing this, Yang Mingong said excitedly
"What are you Kuomintang reactionaries and reactionary warlords?" You are a vicious gang of robbers, a shameless traitor, a gang of executioners who slaughter workers and peasants, and you have no place to stand! ”
Watching the agents also catch another Communist, Yang Mingong pretended not to know and deliberately asked
"I am a member of the Communist Party, and I want to be arrested by them, sir, for what reason do you want to be arrested?" ”
The agents who heard this felt that they had caught the wrong person and released the Communist on the spot. Then Yang Mingong and his wife caught up with their boat, and under such circumstances, Yang Mingong was not afraid, but also comforted his wife. He said
"Don't be afraid, don't be sad, tell your comrades that I will fight to the end!" The children are old and want them to avenge me! You have to raise them well! The enemy has no place to stand, and the cause of communism will certainly be victoriously realized in all of China! ”

After being arrested, Yang Mingong and his wife were put in two different cells. In the next two days, because of the many runs between the party organization and Yang Mingong's father, the reactionaries still released yang Mingong's wife, who did not know the truth. However, it was not so easy to rescue Yang Mingong. Yang Mingong's heart was also very clear about this, so when he was arrested, he explained everything to his wife and entered the prison with the determination to "treat death as a homecoming".
In order to obtain communist secrets, the spies interrogated Yang Mingong overnight, but the torture of the agents did not shake Yang Mingong's most organized belief. He even spoke passionately about the crimes and evil hearts of the reactionaries in prison. The head of the secret service, fearing that Yang Ming's guild would plot against his subordinates, ordered Yang Mingong's tongue to be cut off. But what he didn't expect was that even if Yang Mingong couldn't speak, he was still staring at the enemy fiercely with a determined look. Looking at Yang Mingong's eyes, the enemy was a little chilled, out of fear they dug up Yang Mingong's eyes again, but this was not the end, after going out of his eyes, they also cruelly chopped off Yang Mingong's hands.

On the night of April 6, with the sound of three gunshots in the prison, Yang Mingong passed away forever. He was only 29 years old. No one would know what Yang Mingong had experienced and what kind of pain he had suffered in these two short days. But what we can be sure of is that his heart has always been linked to the Party Central Committee. Maybe in a trance he saw the future of China, maybe in a trance he saw the smiling faces of the people, maybe in a trance he realized his own value, perhaps it is precisely because he saw this that he will not know the pain of beating people, because he feels that it is a very "cost-effective" thing to exchange his life for the happiness of the people of the whole country!
