Deng Zhongxia: I didn't recognize my wife in prison, I spoke generously before my execution, and my 39-year-old blood sprinkled on the rain flower terrace

This year, 2021, is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and in order to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Party, the Party Central Committee has held a series of activities to study party history and publicize advanced figures in the party.

The society has also launched some major revolutionary historical dramas to publicize the dedication and sacrifice made by modern party figures for the revolutionary cause, of which "The Age of Awakening" is the major revolutionary historical drama that people most recognize and respect. This drama restores history to the greatest extent, and the appearance of the actors in the play is highly compatible with historical figures, giving people a good viewing experience.

And this drama also brought fire to a number of characters who were not originally known to many people but had performance strength, among which Cha Wenhao, a young actor who played one of the main characters in the play, deng Zhongxia, became the focus of the audience's attention by virtue of the performance of the play "The Age of Awakening".

In addition to his excellent acting skills, it is also because of the personality charm of Deng Zhongxia himself, Deng Zhongxia: he did not recognize his wife in prison, a sentence shocked the world, and the 39-year-old blood sprinkled rain and flowers.

Refuse to be comfortable and join the revolution

Deng Zhongxia was born in 1894 in a local landlord family in Hunan, so Deng Zhongxia has lived under favorable family conditions since he was a child. With the support of his family, Deng Zhongxia has also enjoyed superior educational conditions.

In 1917, Deng Zhongxia was also admitted to the Department of Literature of Peking University with his own efforts. When Deng Zhongxia was studying at Peking University, he was also influenced by new cultural ideas, and at that time, Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu and others were also teaching at Peking University, and he was able to communicate with these two outstanding figures most directly.

During his time at university, Deng Zhongxia also participated in the anti-imperialist patriotic movement with many like-minded advanced youths, and was also an active member of the May Fourth Movement.

During the May Fourth Movement, Deng Zhongxia and many students from Peking University also formed a peking university civilian lecture group to preach in beijing's workers' settlements and markets in order to enhance the knowledge of the common people and arouse the consciousness of the common people.

Through the speeches of Deng Zhongxia and other students, many civilians realized that they should take the initiative to participate in patriotic actions, which is one of the reasons why workers participated in the May Fourth Movement.

In 1920, Under the leadership of Li Dazhao, Deng Zhongxia and several other students secretly organized a research society to study Marxism, and in November of that year, the Beijing Socialist Youth League was established, and Deng Zhongxia was also a member of the league.

After the formal establishment of the Communist Party of China the following year, Deng Zhongxia also became one of the early party members, and in the same year, Deng Zhongxia was also elected as the secretary of the Beijing local executive committee of the Socialist Youth League.

In April 1923, Deng Zhongxia was also recommended by Li Dazhao to go to Shanghai University, where he served as general secretary and served at Shanghai University for two years, cultivating talents for the Chinese Communist Party.

For the sake of the revolution, he refused to recognize his wife

In 1926, Deng Zhongxia, who had followed the party organization's arrangements, came to Guangzhou to work, where deng Zhongxia met a woman named Li Ying, who was originally born into a poor family and was sold to another family as a child bridesmaid.

It was only when she was almost an adult that her brother ransomed her. Although Li Ying had been poisoned by some feudal remnants and had become a child bride, she was an advanced young man with revolutionary ideas and a non-attitude of denial of life, which deeply attracted Deng Zhongxia.

Deng Zhongxia and Li Ying fell in love soon after they met, and then successfully entered the marriage hall. Because Deng Zhongxia and Li Ying were both revolutionaries, their lives were not stable and quiet, but the couple supported each other and helped them live very happily.

But in 1932, Li Ying, who secretly worked for the party, was arrested by the Kuomintang reactionaries because she was betrayed by traitors. At that time, her husband Deng Zhongxia went out on an errand and was spared arrest.

In order to protect her husband Deng Zhongxia, Li Ying has refused to admit her relationship with Deng Zhongxia after her arrest, and after Deng Zhongxia learned that his wife was arrested, in addition to actively looking for someone to rescue her, she also had a difficult communication with her wife, but Deng Zhongxia communicated with his wife in the capacity of others, because he knew that if his identity was exposed, it would be unsafe for his wife. In his letter, Deng Zhongxia also encouraged his wife to live an active life and not to give up studying while in prison.

But after his wife had not yet been rescued, Deng Zhongxia was also arrested and imprisoned while in Shanghai. Later, Deng Zhongxia and Li Ying met in prison, but pretended to be strangers in order to protect more communist rear fighters.

Good years, dedication to the revolution

After Deng Zhongxia was arrested, the Mutual Masonic Association, which he had previously presided over, also immediately launched a multi-faceted rescue activity, in addition to hiring the best defense lawyer for Deng Zhongxia, he also sought out Song Qingling, then chairman of the China Civil Rights Protection League, and asked her to do her best to think of rescue.

Because the rescue of Deng Zhongxia required a lot of money to do some work, and the party's funds were very short at that time, Soong Qingling also led a group of people to collect donations.

Later, at the trial, Deng Zhongxia concealed his identity in order to allow himself to be released, claiming that he was Shi Yi, a Hunan teacher, and claiming that he had come to Shanghai to patrol relatives and friends and saying that he was not familiar with Shanghai, and then he was misunderstood before being arrested.

With the help of Shi Liang, a lawyer invited by the Mutual Masonics, the court finally issued a verdict that sentenced Deng Zhongxia to 52 days in prison and could be released on bail.

In the face of such a verdict, the Kuomintang reactionaries at that time did not believe it in this way, and had been privately inquiring about the truth about Lin Suqin, who was arrested with Deng Zhongxia. Later, when the process of saving Deng Zhongxia was good, Lin Suqin, who was arrested with Deng Zhongxia, did not resist the Coercion and inducements of the Kuomintang and defected.

Therefore, the identity of Deng Zhongxia as a member of the CPC Central Committee was exposed, and the Kuomintang later conducted other investigations, which also confirmed that Lin Suqin's confession was a fact. Later, when Chiang Kai-shek learned that such an important figure within the CPC Central Committee had been arrested, he sent a telegram to Gu Zhenglun, commander of the capital's gendarmerie, saying that he would shoot the communist Deng Zhongxia as soon as possible.

Before Deng Zhongxia was shot, in order to stir up dissension, the Kuomintang deliberately said something about other figures of the Communist Party oppressing him, for which Deng Zhongxia only contemptuously returned to his own affairs, and others did not need to ask questions or have the right to interfere.

Later, the secret party branch in prison sent people to ask Deng Zhongxia what his political attitude was during the wind time, and Deng Zhongxia replied: "Good question!" Please tell the comrades that I, Deng Zhongxia, am burned to ashes and are also Communists! This sentence, which embodies his unwavering belief, also shocked the world.

At dawn on September 21, 1933, Deng Zhongxia sorted out his clothes and appearance before walking to the execution ground, and calmly walked out of the cell.

After Deng Zhongxia arrived at yuhuatai, there were still many onlookers around him, and at that time the enemy was afraid that Deng Zhongxia would take the opportunity to carry out revolutionary propaganda before his death, and affect a group of people, so shortly after Deng Zhongxia arrived at Yuhuatai, the enemy immediately shot deng Zhongxia to death. In that way, Deng Zhongxia became a revolutionary martyr under the Rain Flower Stage, and Deng Zhongxia's life was forever fixed at the age of 39.

brief summary:

It is worth mentioning that because Deng Zhongxia insisted during the court that he and his wife Li Ying had been divorced for many days, Li Ying had remarried someone else, and he and Li Ying had no relationship for a long time, so he saved Li Ying's life.

In 1936, through the rescue of the party organization, Li Ying was finally released from prison. In order to continue her revolutionary activities in the future and to better protect herself, Li Ying should change her name to Li Xiaming. Later, under the arrangement of the party organization, Li Ying successively did underground work in Yan'an, Xi'an, Taihangshan and other places.

In the course of the revolution, Li Ying also attracted others, and then she reorganized her family, but Li Ying never forgot Deng Zhongxia, and after the founding of New China, Li Ying also went to worship Deng Zhongxia many times.

It is not difficult to see that Deng Zhongxia and Li Ying are both heroes who give up their small family for everyone. The fact that Deng Zhongxia did not recognize his wife in prison, shocked the world with one sentence and was heroically righteous at the age of 39, will always be remembered by future generations as a CCP member who dedicated his life to the revolutionary cause.
