Tan Cuilan's eldest sister, a native of Zhongtan Village, Ertang Township, Jinxian County, a model worker in the city, a national role model representative, and an excellent volunteer. She has devoted her life to collecting and disseminating red culture, doing public welfare undertakings and spreading positive energy.
From the founding of New China to today, she has used her collection of nearly 50 years to fill a two-bedroom apartment of more than 50 square meters. Except for one bed, the bedroom was occupied by red objects. Portraits of great men are plastered on the walls, display cases are filled with revolutionary historical materials and objects, and even window sills and kitchens are displayed with various red collections.
Sister Tan Cuilan has collected more than 300,000 pieces, which not only include precious materials from the revolutionary period, but also record the historical process of new China's construction. Throughout her life, she has been collecting all the objects related to the red culture. She said: "This red feeling in her chest is the spiritual pillar that I have always insisted on."
Tan Cuilan, who only has a primary school culture, with a love for revolutionary history, she taught herself red culture while collecting red collections. She was frugal and spent all her money, so that she lived in poverty in her later years, but she still felt very happy.
Cultural relics are the condensation of history, a mirror that illuminates the past and guides the future. Sister Tan Cuilan has insisted on collecting red items for many years, which is a valuable spiritual wealth.
Nowadays, Tan Cuilan's "Red Museum" has attracted more and more people to visit, and more people have come here to feel the spirit of the Red Revolution. She hopes that the historical and cultural objects in her collection can show the world the historical traces of the party and the country. She also hopes to find a more secure way to display her treasures one day.
