A tribute to the Beijing Winter Olympics, the documentary film "Ice Moment" will be released tomorrow

In the new century, the ice and snow field is becoming the dream place of many teenagers in China. Especially since Beijing and Zhangjiakou successfully bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics, under the inspiration of "driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports", domestic ice and snow sports have accelerated the pace of "south exhibition and west expansion and eastward expansion", and ice and snow sports have blossomed in more and more cities and regions.

Ice hockey, the ice collective sport with the largest number of participants in the Winter Olympics, is also a "game of the brave" against fierceness. Released nationwide on January 7, "Moments on Ice", as a tribute to the Beijing Winter Olympics, its shooting lasted three years, spanning China, Russia, Canada, Sweden and other places.

Sun Bin, director of the Education and Public Participation Division of the Press and Public Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, said that "Ice Moment" is a good embodiment of the three core values of the Olympic spirit: excellence, respect and friendship.

The film won the Best Documentary Proposal at the FIRST Youth Film Festival Documentary Lab and was shortlisted for the IDF Westlake International Documentary Conference Venture Capital Project.

The story begins in the summer of 2018, when a club in Beijing reorganized a junior ice hockey team with a group of children born in 2009.

No. 66 Yu Lifan, No. 95 Qu Ruichen, and No. 97 Zhai Zinan gradually became the protagonists of the story, and they chased their dreams of ice and snow in a completely different way. From a naïve child to a teenager, he still insists on practicing his hockey dream. Behind this, their parents and families have also made unknown efforts, and the children have once again experienced the joy and pain of "growing up".

"It's not so much a movie as it is a valuable home education lesson for all parents." At the Beijing premiere on January 3, CCTV host Li Xiaomeng finished reading his testimonial.

On the road of children's education and growth, parents will face a lot of problems, many parents hope to have a trick to solve, but there are thousands of children, since ancient times, I am afraid that no one can summarize the winning treasure. There are not necessarily standard answers that parents want in the film, but they may inspire parents to reflect on their own family education problems and parent-child relationships, and many times you may also see your own shadow from the three pairs of parents in the film.

According to Liu Hanxiang, the director of "Ice Moments", the original intention of the film was because of his confusion about parent-child education, "In 2017, my daughter was born, as a novice father, I don't know how to accompany her to grow up and how to educate my children. Filming this documentary is also my process of finding answers with confusion about education. ”

But after filming the story of three teenagers playing hockey, he didn't find the answer to the question. "Maybe I'll have to spend my whole life looking for it."

"Ice Moments" has no shortage of touching pictures of young players training hard in the company of their parents and hot scenes of fierce confrontation between the two teams on the field, but more often, it presents us with the attempts and efforts of the three pairs of parents in the film to cultivate their children's ice hockey hobbies.

The father of Yu Lifan, the 66th team member in the film, may be the representative of many parents in China. In order to make the child's interest and strengths blossom, he initially enrolled his son in a number of extracurricular interest classes such as ice hockey, Go, painting, etc., but because of his limited energy, coupled with the fact that Yu Lifan was "talented" in the two hobbies of playing ice hockey and playing Go, Yu Dad finally decided to give up other "interest classes" that were too distracting and focused on these two projects.

Despite this, in the film, we can still see that Yu Dad strives to balance his son's time playing ice hockey and playing Go in order not to delay, but he still has to lose sight of one or the other, and once because of a necessary Go lesson, he had to give up the opportunity to go to Russia with other young players to participate in ice hockey training.

Before watching the movie, Yu Lifan's father was very worried about his "human design", "After watching it, it was fine, and some of my warm content for the child was also displayed." ”

He believes that everyone's educational concept is the same, all the ways to pour out all their children are the same, he himself will be more delicate to the child in the future, and he also hopes that the child will gradually have self-awareness, know what he wants and why he does it, which is an important part of the child's growth.

In the final trailer of "Ice Moment", Yu Lifan gritted his teeth and insisted on practicing ice hockey under the strict instruction of his parents, because his father felt that "boys should play something bloody" and "Yu Lifan's personality is more gentle, and we hope to give him some pressure so that he can be tougher." ”

Zhai Zinan, who was young but calm and determined, made a wish: "I want to play the North American professional game." In order to support his hockey dream, his mother decided to temporarily leave his job and accompany him to Canada for further study full-time.

Qu Ruichen also identified the road to playing ice hockey: "Ice hockey is already my dream... Why can't I play professionally"? Although the parents felt that "this road is too hard, too hard...", they still did their best to help his dream.

From the initial screening of interest classes for children, to stimulating children's interest, to improving their training consciousness, like many parents, the three pairs of parents in the film have also been groping forward. Fortunately, their efforts have been successful in stages, and may provide some references for you as a parent.
