It is reported that the Arene software platform developed by Toyota will compete with other companies such as Volkswagen and Daimler. At present, Volkswagen is developing its own "VW. OS" operating system software, and Daimler also plans to launch its own operating system software on its cars by 2024.
In addition, Toyota aims to install this operating system on its own cars by 2025, and plans to supply the system to subsidiaries such as Subaru in the future. In addition to subsidiaries such as Subaru, Toyota is also considering making Arene accessible to other electric or driverless car makers and companies.
